'f you a""ept it when first using the appli"ation, the software "olle"ts usage information an$G# logs that may (e use$ for improving the appli"ation an$ the /uality an$ "overage of

maps. he $ata is pro"esse$ anonymously& no one will (e a(le to tra"! any personalinformation. 'f you "hange your min$ later, you "an ena(le or $isa(le the log "olle"tion in#ettings page +.

't is important that you loo! at the $isplay only when it is safe to $o so. 'f you are the $river ofthe vehi"le, we re"ommen$ that you operate your software (efore you start your 3ourney. lanthe route (efore your $eparture an$ stop if you nee$ to "hange the route.

 6fter the initial setup, the Navigation menu appears an$ you "an start using the software.

2.1 -avigation menu

%ou "an rea"h all parts of the software from the Navigation menu.

%ou have the following options;

• ap to sele"t your $estination (y entering an a$$ress or sele"ting

a pla"e of interest, a lo"ation on the map or one of your 4avourite $estinations. %ou"an also loo! up your re"ent $estinations from the #mart @istory, enter a "oor$inate oruse the lo"ation save$ in a photo.

ap to $isplay the route parameters an$ the route in its full lengthon the map. %ou "an also perform route-relate$ a"tions su"h as e$iting or "an"ellingyour route, setting a start point for the route, pi"!ing route alternatives, avoi$ing partsof the route, simulating navigation or a$$ing the $estination to your 4avourites.

tosimulate $emo routes or to run some a$$itional appli"ations.

• ap to start navigating on the map. he (utton itself is a miniature

%ou "an turn your $evi"e on or off at any time. 9hen your $evi"e is swit"he$ off, the software$oes not "al"ulate your G# position an$ it $oes not up$ate the route or the $rivinginstru"tions.

9hen you turn your $evi"e on again, the software "ontinues navigating as soon as the G#re"eiver has $etermine$ your position.

 

2.2.1 0ain 0enu button

his (utton opens the startup menu of the $evi"e.

2.3 uttons and ot+er controls on t+e screen

9hen you are using the software, you usually tap (uttons on the tou"h s"reen.

%ou only nee$ to "onfirm sele"tions or "hanges if the appli"ation nee$s to restart, it nee$s toperform a ma3or re"onfiguration, or you are a(out to lose some of your $ata or settings.Otherwise, the software saves your sele"tions an$ applies the new settings without"onfirmation as soon as you use the "ontrols.

9hen on-roa$ navigation is sele"te$, the Behimar!er may not show your e)a"t G# positionan$ hea$ing. 'f roa$s are near, it is aligne$ to the nearest roa$ to suppress G# positionerrors, an$ the $ire"tion of the i"on is aligne$ to the $ire"tion of the roa$.

'f you sele"t off-roa$ navigation; he Behimar!er is at your e)a"t G# position. he $ire"tionof the i"on shows your "urrent hea$ing.

9hen a map lo"ation is sele"te$, the =ursor appears at the sele"te$ point on the map. he

=ursor is $isplaye$ with a ra$iating re$ $ot to ma!e it visi(le at all >oom levels.

he lo"ation of the =ursor "an (e use$ as the $estination of the route, a new alert point, you"an sear"h for la"es aroun$ it, or you "an save this lo"ation as one of your 4avourite$estinations.

%ou "an also sele"t some of the o(3e"ts on the map. 'f you tap the map at the i"on of a la"eof 'nterest or an alert point, the o(3e"t will (e sele"te$ you see a re$ "ir"ling (or$er aroun$the o(3e"t, an$ you "an get information a(out this o(3e"t or use it as a route point.

he software shows the streets in a way that is similar to how the paper roa$ maps showthem. heir wi$th an$ "olours "orrespon$ to their importan"e; you "an easily tell a motorwayfrom a small street.

2.".3.2 Turn previe/ and -e8t street

9hen navigating a route, the top se"tion of the Cap s"reen shows information a(out the ne)troute event manoeuvre an$ the ne)t street or the ne)t "itytown.

here is a fiel$ in the top left "orner that $isplays the ne)t manoeuvre. Aoth the type of theevent turn, roun$a(out, e)iting motorway, et". an$ its $istan"e from the "urrent position are$isplaye$.

 6 smaller i"on shows the type of the se"on$ ne)t manoeuvre if it is near the first one.Otherwise, only the ne)t manoeuvre is $isplaye$.

9hen navigating on multilane roa$s, it is important to ta!e the appropriate lane in or$er tofollow the re"ommen$e$ route. 'f lane information is availa(le in the map $ata, the software$isplays the lanes an$ their $ire"tions using small arrows at the (ottom of the map.@ighlighte$ arrows represent the lanes you nee$ to ta!e.

9here a$$itional information is availa(le, signposts su(stitute arrows. #ignposts are$isplaye$ at the top of the map. he "olour an$ style of the signposts are similar to the realones you "an see a(ove roa$ or (y the roa$si$e. hey show the availa(le $estinations an$the num(er of the roa$ the lane lea$s to.
