· The warranty may also be void if the user applies any materials not recommended for footwear, such as polishes, creams, oils or other chemicals that result in damage to the materials of the footwear.

These shoes are designed to keep your feet warm in most types of cold conditions. The two type of insulating barriers used in Carhartt Footwear are LiteFire® and 3M™ Thinsulate™. LiteFire® is an aluminum based waterproof and breathable membrane that reflects body heat equivalent to 400, 600, 800 or 1000 grams of traditional insulation without the weight or bulk. 3M™ Thinsulate™ is a microfiber that insulates boots by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. 400 and 600 grams is used for cold conditions or moderate activity levels.
