IEEE Nanotechnology Council’s NMDC 2019 conference will bring together keyresearchers from every sector in the nanotechnology research field, with aspecial focus on Materials and Devices. Conference papers will be published inIEEE Xplore. Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit theirextended article version to: IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology, and IEEENanotechnology Magazine. Best paper awards will be given in severalcategories at the conference banquet, to be held at the “Vasa museum” (17thcentury ship).

NMDC 2019 will be held in Münchenbryggeriet (The Brewery ConferenceCentre Stockholm), located close to city center at Torkel Knutssonsgatan 2.See details here.

Call for NominationsVP Educational Activities

The IEEE Nanotechnology Council (NTC) is seeking nominations for thefollowing elected positions:

VP for Educational Activities (2020-2021)

The Vice-President for Educational Activities shall establish and chair theEducation Committee, and with the participation of the Education Committeeshall foster the development and provide direction for educational activitiesand programs in which the Council is involved, including but not limited tooverseeing, coordinating, and monitoring such educational activities.

Unless otherwise noted, all positions are two-year terms and start 1 January2020. Candidates are nominated from current or past Council AdCommembers within the previous five years.

Nominations are being solicited for the IEEE Nanotechnology Council’s 2019Awards. These are due by 1 October 2019.

Award categories are Early Career, Pioneer and Distinguished Service.

Call for DL Nominations

The IEEE Nanotechnology Council (NTC) is seeking nominations forDistinguished Lectures for 2020.

Candidates for DLs may be nominated by any current IEEE member (self-nominations are not accepted), using the IEEE NTC Distinguished LecturerNomination Form. DLs are expected to give a minimum of 2 lectures peryear as part of their commitment to serve. The NTC Distinguished LecturerCommittee reviews nominations and recommends DL candidate appointmentsfor NTC ExCom approval.

DL Nominations are submitted to the chair of the DistinguishedLecturer Committee by 15 October. For more information, click here orvisit: ieeenano.org/dl-program/.
