ABSTRACT
There is a long and varied history associated with the evolution of the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). However, a historical review is missing in the academic li terature that portrays the evolution of the academic understanding of the concept alongside with the public and international events that
influenced the social expectations with regards to corporate behavior. The aim of this paper i s to provide a distinctive historical perspective on the evolution of CSR as a conceptual paradigm by reviewing the most relevant factors that have shaped its understanding and definition, such as academic contributions,
international policies and significant social and political events. To do so, the method used is a comprehensive literature review that explores the most relevant academic contributions and public events that have influenced
the evolutionary process of CSR and how they have done so. The findings show tha t the understanding o f corporate responsibility has evolved from being limited to the generation of profit to include a broader set o f responsibilities to the latest belief that the main responsibility of companies should be the generation of shared
value. The findings also indicate that as social expectations of corporate behavior changed, so did the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility. The findings suggest that CSR continues to be relevant within the academic literature and can be expected to remain part of the business vocabulary at least in the short term and as a
result, the authors present a plausible future for CSR that takes into consideration its historical evolution. Finally, this paper gives way for future academic research to explore how CSR can help address the la test
social expectations of generating shared value as a main business objective, which in turn may have pract ical implications if CSR is implemented with this in mind.

ABSTRACT
The present day electrical power system is AC. i.e. electric power is generated, transmitted and distributed
in the form of Alternating current. The electric power is produced at the power station, which are located
at favorable places, generally quite away from the consumers. It is delivered to the consumer through a
large network of transmission and distribution system. At many place in the line of power system, it may be
desirable and necessary to change some characteristic (e.g. Voltage level, f req uency and p . f . etc.) o f
electric supply. This is accomplished by suitable apparatus, which are instal led in a sub -stat ion. For
example, generation voltage (11KV or 66KV) at the power station is stepped up to high voltage (Say 11KV
to 33/220/440KV) for transmission of electric power. Similarly near the consumer’s localities, the vo l tage
may have to be stepped down to utilization level. This job is again accomplished by a sub -sta tion. Th is
work deals with the development of a microcomputer-based Feeder Protection and Monitoring System. The
Feeder Protection and Monitoring System includes an over current relay to provide over current protection
for a transmission feeder / distribution feeder. The system also provides a monitoring capabi li ty which
supports data storage and remote interaction with a user. This work a lso describes the design o f the
system, how the design was implemented, These units properly demonstrated the over curren t protect ion
and monitoring functions of the system.

ABSTRACT
Distribution transformers is one of the most important element of electrical power system. Transformer i s a
device which is continuously working in order to improve the efficiency o f the t ransmission system. The
present paper proposes continuous online monitoring of distribution transformer using IOT (in ternet o f
things). The internet of things connects the unconnected things .previously the things that weren’t accessible
have been made accessible because of it. The transformer is subjected to various faults such as over-current ,
increase in temperature, oil-level, etc. All these faults are persistently monitored throughout by the Arduino
which regularly sends the health information of the transformer via the Wi-Fi module under TCP IP protoco l
to a Dedicated IP that displays the data in real-time chart form in any web connected PC / Laptop for display
in 3 different charts. .this data can be accessed from anywhere in the world by a web connected pc/laptop .so
the maintainence of the distribution transformer can be successfully implemented by the use o f th is pro ject
ideology.

GSM BASED UG CABLE FAULT DISTANCE LOCATOR
DR. G. VENKATESWARLU and M. MEDA. BHARGAVI
ABSTRACT
This work proposes a Differential current busbar protection scheme based on phase changes in posit ive sequence current of incoming and outgoing line current transformers (CTs). The angle differences o f during fault and prefault current signals of incoming and outgoing CTs are the indicators of external or internal faults
for bus bar protection. The advantage of the method is that it does not use magni tude in format ion o f the current and thus overcomes the CT saturation. This work also proposes with the design, implementat ion and
testing of High voltage busbar relaying scheme using ATMEL processor which is Digi ta l S igna l Processor (DSP). Current differential algorithm is proposed to designed based on the DSP platform which can reduce large amounts of calculation, expedite the protection’s trip and reduces the hardware requirements. Th is
scheme provides stability against external faults, sensitivity towards high internal faults and better rel iabi lity in discriminating in-zone and out of zone faults.

ABSTRACT
This project is to determine the distance of the failure of the underground cable in the base station using one
kilometer of Arduino board. Underground cable system is a common practice in many urban areas. Even i f a
failure occurs for some reason, at that time the repair process related to th is particu lar cable i s d i f f icult
because of not knowing the exact location of cable failure. The project uses the classic concept o f the Ohms
law, when a low voltage at the end of the power supply device is applied across a series resistor the curren t
varies depending on the location of the Fault the cable. In the case of a short circui t (grounded l ine), the
voltage across the series resistors changes accordingly, then input to the ADC constructs the Arduino board to
develop accurate digital data for the in kilometer. The project is mounted with a resistance representing the
length of the cable in KM and creating defects is executed by a set of switches in each known KM to check the
accuracy of it. Failure occurs at a given distance and the respective phase is d isplayed on an LCD screen
connected to the Arduino board.

ABSTRACT-
This project is designed to automatically supply continuous power to a load through one of the four sources o f
supply that are: solar, mains, thermal, and wind when any one of them is unavailable. The four swi tches
represent the four causes. The switches are connected to an 8051 microcontroller of which they provide input
signals. Whenever a switch is pressed, it shows the absence of that particular reference. A relay driver is used
that receives microcontroller generated output and switches that specific relay to provide cont inuous power
supply. A lamp or bulb is used as a load for demonstration purpose which draws power from main. When the
primary fails to supply power, automatically next available source is used like thermal. If thermal fails then the
next one is used and so on. An LCD is used to show which power supply is on.

ABSTRACT:
Every year there is increasing number of electricity thefts across domestic electricity connect ion as well as
industrial electricity supply. If the electricity is illegally used it will affect the economic status of the country.
The planning for distribution and production of electrical energy may be difficult in case of unrecorded energy
usage. The project’s aim is to design a system which is used to detect and eliminate the power theft in
transmission lines using current sensor and GSM module. There is a problem with the rural areas where the
wired system is difficult to transfer the information on electricity theft to the supplier. A wireless technique,
GSM has high efficiency and larger range of communication compared to Bluetooth, infrared etc. that are with
the limitations of range and less efficiency. In this project Arduino is used to detect power theft and to send the
command to GSM module to send the theft information message in this project. The implementat ion o f th is

ABSTRACT:
This is a new configuration of a single- phase hybrid inverter with an integrated battery energy storage,
this paper proposes suitable for residential households to maximize local consumption of solar energy
and thus reduce dependency on support. The hybrid inverter is called Direct Storage Hybrid (DSH)
Inverter. A transformer-less topology such as HERIC, operating at low frequency to genera te a three-level
rectangular output voltage, is adopted to connect a photovoltaic (PV) panel to the load and/or the grid. A
series active filter is employed to compensate the high harmonic components from the rectangular voltage
and provide a sinusoidal voltage. A bidirectional dc/dc converter connects the battery to the PV panel
to control the battery state of charge (SoC) and optimize the PV panel operation during both off-grid and
grid-connected modes. The DSH inverter can let the battery bypass the dc/dc converter and connect
directly to the inverter stage, leading to a significant improvement in throughput efficiency in battery
utilization. This paper discusses the operation and loss analysis of the DSH inverter in off-grid mode.

ABSTRACT
This paper presents the design of a system to detect the synchronization failure of any external supply source
to the power grid on sensing the abnormalities in frequency and voltage and thereby protecting the load. There
are several power generation units connected to the grid such as hydra, thermal, solar etc., to supply power to
the load. These generating units need to supply power ac-cording to the rules of the grid. These rules involve
main-taining a voltage variation within limits and also the fre-quency. If any deviation f rom the acceptable
limit of the grid, it is mandatory that the same feeder should automati-cally get disconnected f rom the grid
which by effect is termed as islanding. This prevents in large scale brown out or black out of the grid power.
So, it is preferable to have a system which can warn the grid in advance so that alter-nate arrangements are
kept on standby to avoid complete grid failure. This system is based on Arduino Uno micro -con trol ler. The
microcontroller monitors the under/over voltage being derived from a set o f comparators and a standard
Arduino is used to vary the input voltage to test the functioning o f the paper. A lamp load (ind icating a
predictable blackout, brownout) being driven from the microcontroller in case of voltage/frequency going ou t
of acceptable range. GPS and GSM technologies are used to indicate the fault location.

ABSTRACT
In RTC based load management we can handle the output loads and save the energy. A rea l t ime clock
(RTC) is a computer clock (most often in the form of an integrated circuit) that keeps track on the curren t
time. Although the term often refers to the devices in personal computers, servers and embedded system,
RTCs are present in almost any electronic device which needs to keep accurate time. load management ,
also known as demand side management, is the process of balancing the supply o f electricity on the
network with the electrical load by adjusting or controlling the load rather than the power station output .
Electricity is one of the most important requirements of modern civi liza tion, wi thout which various
indispensable applications will bind to bring to a standstill. Thus in a distribution system, i t needs to be
precisely measured for the specific period of time. The Time-Based Electricity and Load Shedding
Monitoring Using Embedded Systems is a reliable & effective load shedding technique that takes over the
manual task of switch ON/OFF the electrical supply with respect to time. It uses a software -based rea l-
time clock (RTC) interfaced to the Controller. The paper on "Time Based Electricity and Load Shedding
Monitoring Using Embedded Systems" will provide real & competent load shedding techniques.

ABSTRACT
Energy is one of the major issues that the world is facing in India, the supply of energy has been one o f the
major problems for both urban and rural households. About 60% to 70% of the energy demand of the country
is met by fuelwood and agriculture residues. Solar energy is a renewable source of energy, which has a great
potential and it is radiated by the sun. Renewable energy is important to replace the using of electric energy
generated by petroleum. Solar power has become a source of renewable energy and solar energy applica tion
should be enhanced. The solar PV modules are generally employed in dusty environments which are the case
tropical countries like India. The dust gets accumulated on the front surface o f the module and b locks the
incident light from the sun. It reduces the power generation capacity of the module. The power output reduces
as much as by 50% if the module is not cleaned for a month. The cleaning system has been designed cleans the
module by controlling the Arduino programming. To remove the dust in the PV modules to impro ving the
power efficiency.

ABSTRACT
In this Project, the design aspects of an embedded device which can control up to 8 devices by sending a
specific SMS message from a mobile phone are presented. This controller is extremely handle at places where
we have to control the ON and OFF switching of the devices but no wired connection to that place is available.
To implement this, a GSM modem is connected to a programmed microcontroller which would receive the SMS
from a reference cell phone. The control signal part of the received SMS is extracted and is changed to
microcontroller-preferred format. The monitoring is will be done by interfacing a LCD to the microcontroller.
AT commands were used for controlling the functionality of modem’s (Global Systems for Mobile
Communication) is vastly used because of its simplicity in both transmitter and receiver design, can operate at
900 or 1800MHZ band, faster, more reliable and globally network. Here the system is capable of contro lling
the motor by receiving control message from an authorized mobile number. Microcontroller is the heart of our
system, which controls the overall operation of our system. System is always alert for receiving SMS from valid
number and that message can be displayed on the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). .

ABSTRACT
A Go-kart is a small four wheeled vehicle. Gokart, by definition, has no suspension and no differentia l. They
are usually raced on scaled down tracks, but are sometimes driven as entertainment or as a hobby by
nonprofessionals. 'Carting is commonly perceived as the stepping stone to the h igher and more expensive
ranks of motor sports. Kart racing is generally accepted as the most economic form of motor sport ava ilable.
As a free-time activity, it can be performed by almost anybody and permitting licensed racing for anyone fro m
the age of 8 onwards. Kart racing is usually used as a low-cost and relatively safe way to introduce drivers to
motor racing. Many people associate it with young drivels, but adults are also very active in karting. Karting is
considered as the first step in any serious racer's career. It can prepare the driver for h ighs -speed wheel-
towheel racing by helping develop guide reflexes, Precision car control and decision -making skills. In
addition, it brings an awareness of the various parameters that can be al tered to try to improve the
competitiveness of the kart that also exist in other forms of motor racing.

ABSTRACT
Now a day’s road accident in four wheeled vehicles goes on increasing rapidly due to various reasons. Some
road accidents may cause due to chasing between two vehicles, unconsciousness of driver and fa ilure o f the
linkages of the braking system. In such cases we can’t control the vehicle by applying the brakes manually. So
in order to avoid that difficulty it is necessary to control brakes automatically through electron ic devices to
reduce the road accidents. In this research paper we propose an effective methodology for automatic control of
braking system to avoid accidents. In this technology we used Ultrasonic sensor, LED, Buzzer, LCD and Micro
controller is programmed with embedded C Language using PIC C Compiler. This complete system can be
fitted on to the dash board of a vehicle and used for controlling the braking system automatically

ABSTRACT:
As we know that safety of the vehicle is the first and the fore most thing to be considered in 2 -wheelers the
safety of the vehicle from accident was understated on two major factors, Direct ional stabi li ty and the
Aerodynamic force both are correlated to each other. The use of tilting mechanism in automobile would
decrease the rate of accidents due to slippage. It will give better dynamic stabi li ty as well as d irectiona l
stability to the vehicle, better road grip, better comfort to the passengers, and the most importan t load
carrying capacity of vehicle increases. This is the why most of the automobile companies are producing the
prototypes of tilting mechanism for automobiles. In our project work we have tried to develop a economica l
tilting mechanism for a two wheel vehicle. This feature enables the vehicle to tilt in to the curve while
negotiating it. Our analysis shows that to increase the maximum curve a t speed o f more than 50%, th is
mechanism is really useful. The method we have used is a simple mechanica l t i l ting system by using the
flexible linkages and the shock absorbers. This tilting mechanism if successful would dramatically increase
the maximum speed in curves. This would also provide the advantages of increased passenger comfort an d
handling. A tilting mechanism allows the vehicle to have leaning characteristics similar to those o f fered by
an inline two wheel vehicle, but that does not require complex linkages or control system to operate
effectively. A tilting linkage is operationally secured to a frame to allow a pa ir o f spaced apart wheel to
remain substantially aligned with the plane of the vehicle throughout its range of movements.

ABSTRACT:
Shear wall systems are one of the most commonly used lateral load resisting systems in high-rise
buildings. Shear walls have very high in plane stiffness and strength, which can be used to
simultaneously resist large horizontal loads and support gravity loads, making them quite advantageous
in many structural engineering applications. There are lots of l i tera tures ava ilable to design and
analyze the shear wall. However, the decision about the location of shear wall in multi-storey bui ld ing
is not much discussed in any literatures. In this paper, therefore, main focus is to determine the solution
for shear wall location in multi-storey building. In this study, a G+ 10 storeyed reinforced concrete
(RC) building with varying ground slope as 0º, 5º, 10º, 15º and 20º without shear walls and
incorporating shear walls symmetrically in plan and at peripheral corners have been considered for the
analysis. Buildings are designed as per IS 456:2000 and later subjected to earthquake loads. The
modelling and analysis of the building has been carried by Liner S tat ic, Linear Dyna mic ana lysis
(Response Spectrum and Linear Time History analysis) using structure analysis too l SAP 2000. The
main objective is to understand the behaviour of the building on sloping ground for the effect of varying
height of the column in bottom storey and various positions of shear walls and to study the effectiveness
of shear wall on sloping ground.

ABSTRACT:
The aim of the paper is to present alternative to conventional (i .e ., the commonly used b iological
treatment plants) wastewater treatment systems, appropriate for small communities and set t lements.
These systems are the natural treatment systems. The emphasis here is given on constructed wetlands
(CWs). First, advantages and disadvantages of these systems are presented compared to convent ional
systems. Design guidelines from various EU countries for CW systems used in municipa l wastewater
treatment, and data on the operation of such systems in Greece are presented. Constructed wetland is a
candidate method for wastewater treatment due to its cost effective, less energy sensitive, simple
operation and maintenance, little secondary pollution and favourable environmental appearance. The
objective of the present study is to investigate the efficiency of surface flow constructed wetland system
for treatment of domestic wastewater. Wastewater should be collected from residential areas are treated
with wetlands, the treated water should be collected from outlet. The final characteristics of the trea ted
water should be calculated. The various physical and chemical tests were conducted suspended,
colloidal and grit particles are removed from water through after treated wi th wet lands. Po llutants
present in the wastewater are then naturally broken down and taken up by the bacteria and p lan ts,
thereby removing them from the water.

ABSTRACT:
Performance and Security are two critical functions of Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks (WANETs). S ince
there is no centralized network management in WANETs, these networks are susceptible to packet drop
attacks. In selective drop attack, the neighboring nodes are not loyal in forwarding the messages to the
next node. A Resistive to Selective Drop Attack (RSDA) scheme to provide effective se curity against
selective drop attack. Alight weight RSDA protocol is proposed for detecting malicious nodes in the
network under particular drop attack. It accomplishes reliability in routing by disabl ing the l ink and
authenticate the nodes using the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA). .

ABSTRACT:
Titanium dioxide (TiO2) thin films were deposited onto p-Si (100) and Corning glass substrates held
at room temperature by DC magnetron sputtering at different oxygen partial pressures. The influence
of oxygen partial pressure on the structural and optical properties of the deposited films was
systematically studied. EDAX studies revealed that the films formed at an oxygen partial pressure o f
8x10-4 mbar was nearly stoichiometric. It is observed that with the increase of oxygen partial
pressure from 2x10-4 to 5x10-3 mbar the optical transmittance in the wavelength range 500 – 900 nm
is increased from 66% to 86%. The optical band gap of the films increased from 3.30 to 3.44 eV. The
refractive index of the films decreased from 2.48 to 2.44. The extinction coefficient of the films (a t
= 500 nm) is also decreased from 8.0x10-3 to 3.5x10-3 . This investigation revealed that single phase
TiO2 films were achieved at the optimized oxygen partial pressure of 8x10-4 mbar.

ABSTRACT:
Safe and Economic disposal of industrial wastes and development of economically feasible ground
improvement techniques are among the important challenge being faced by the engineering community. In th is
investigation, an attempt has been made to study the possibility of utilizing ground nut shell these are the
hazardous industrial waste for stabilization of soil, since bulk utilization of ground nut shell is feasible in the
case of geotechnical applications like construction of embankments, earth dams, and highway and a ir f ield
pavements.Soil stabilization is the process of improving the engineering properties of the soil and thus making
it more stable. It is required when the soil available for construction is not suitable for the intended purpose. In
its broadest senses, stabilization includes compaction, pre-consolidation, dra inage and much o ther such
process. However, the term stabilization is generally restricted to the process which alters the so il materia l
itself for improvement of its properties. A cementing material or a chemical is added to a natural so il for the
purpose of stabilization.Soil stabilization is used to reduce the permeability and compressib il ity o f the so il
mass in earth structures and to increase its shear strength. Soil stabilization is required to increase the bearing
capacity of foundation soils. However, the main use of stabilization is to improve the na tural so i ls f or the
construction of highways and airfields. The principles of soil stabilization are used to controlling the grading
of soils and aggregates in the construction of bases and sub bases of the highways and airfields.

PRACTICAL ORIENTED ANALYSIS ON THE SIGNAL PROCESSING USING FFT ALGORITHM
Prof. K. Phani Srinivas and Dr. P. S. Aithal
ABSTRACT:
The idea of the research is mainly to understand the application of DFT, windowing, zero padding, use the
thereafter knowledge to calculate spectrum of the whole .wav file from which the fundamental frequencies and
corresponding harmonics are grouped together. The spectrum of the whole file is calculated using “FFT”.
From these frequencies one can find out the note played in music. Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) is one o f
the specific forms of Fourier analysis. The DFT requires an input function that is discrete and whose non-zero
values have a finite duration. In particular, the DFT is widely employed in signal processing and related fields
to analyze the frequencies contained in a sampled signal, to solve partial di fferential equations, and to perform
other operations such as convolutions. The DFT can be computed efficiently in practice using Fast Fourier
Transform (FFT) algorithms.

ABSTRACT:
Clustering is an unsupervised classification technique where a set o f da ta , usua lly mul tidimensional i s classified into clusters (groups) such that members of one cluster are similar to one another with respect to
some predefined criterion. The k-means clustering methods are well known widely used parti tioning-based clustering algorithms which minimize a given criterion by relocating points between clusters un ti l a local ly optimal partition is attained. We proposed a new k-means clustering method that is called a modified k-means
method which updates centroids (cluster centers) depending on if a point is added to a cluster or a po in t i s removed from a cluster. The k-means clustering methods discussed in this research are the Forgy’s method , Lloyd’s method, MacQueen’s method, Hartigan and Wong’s method, Likas’ method, and Faber’s method . It
was observed that the modified k-means method performed relatively better in terms of minimizing the to tal
intra-cluster variance and their respective relative accuracy using simulated data and real-life data sets.

ABSTRACT:
Cluster analysis is an unsupervised learning method that classifies data points, usually multidimensional in to
groups (called clusters) such that members of one cluster are more similar (in some sense) to each other than
those in other clusters. In this paper, we propose an enhanced k-means clustering method that uses the
Minkowski’s distance as its metric in a normed vector space which is the generalization of both the Euclidean
distance and the Manhattan distance. The k-means clustering methods discussed in this paper are: Forgy’s
method, Lloyd’s method, MacQueen’s method, Hartigan and Wong’s method, Likas’ method and Faber’s
method uses the usual Euclidean distance. It was observed that the enhanced k -means clustering method
performed relatively better in terms of the relative accuracy and minimizing the total intra-cluster variance

ABSTRACT:
In this paper, we present new k-means clustering methods namely: the modi fied k-means method and the enhanced k-means method. The modified k-means clustering method proposed updates cluster cen troids
depending on if a point is added to a cluster or a point is removed from a cluster; while the enhanced k-means clustering method uses the Minkowski’s distance as its metric in a normed vector space instead o f the usual Euclidean distance used in the modified k-means method and the existing methods. K-means clustering i s one
of the simplest and popular unsupervised learning techniques which aim is to classify points or objects to be analyzed into well separated groups or clusters. ABSTRACT:
The area of biology and ecology marched on at a rapid pace toward perfection by help o f mathemat ical
concepts such as stability, bifurcation, chaos and etc. in the recent decades. Delays models are becoming more common appearing in many branch of biological modeling. They have been used for describing several aspect of infection dynamics. Some of them are primary infections, drug therapy, immune response, ep idemiology,
respiratory system, tumor growth etc. There is evidence of delay effects in the population o f many species. Because of no existing any interspecific interaction in the single species, one is able to see that this model i s
the simplest modeling. Meanwhile by adding some assumptions, we are able to see that it has so many practical application in natural phenomena. In this article, first some properties differential equations having single species without delay and with delay are compared and analyzed. Then some dynami cal models o f
single species having delay parameter are studied. In continuation, a delay single species i s investigated . Moreover, the stability, bifurcation and periodic solutions are analyzed for the above delayed model. Finally,
by help of mathematical simulations, we discuss on the obtained graphs, to validity the presented results.

ABSTRACT:
The main issue with the multi-focus images lies in obtaining the relative information about the identification of
objects in the individual images with less resolution. Hence the image fusion methods have attracted attent ion
to obtaining a high resolute image with a pair of multi-focus images. The fusion methods have also ra ised i t s
attention to applying for biomedical images obtained with different modalities. An attempt has been made in
the present work to develop an image fusion methodology designing on NSCT with SR and frequency partition.
Firstly, the biomedical images are both transformed into the frequency partition (FP) domain. So the row
components and column components are obtained. Fusion process is done on both row and co lumn images
separately and averaged together to avoid any noise or distortion introduced in the fusion process. For the
feature extraction and better morphological details, the row and column components are merged using the
nonsubsampled contourlet transform with sparse representation (NSCT-SR) algorithm. Five sets o f medical
images obtained with different modalities have been introduced to the six different image fusion a lgorithms
including the proposed method. Various statistical metrics were evaluated for each image fusion method . The
careful comparison of the visual and objective metrics reveals that the proposed method shows the best
performance with not only having visual quality and also confirmed based on the variation of the stat istica l
metrics.

ABSTRACT
In the digital age, security is one of the primary concerns of any organization. Every organization has realized
that data is a major resource. Hence, organizations deploy advanced securi ty mechanisms to sa feguard
business data. Handprint recognition plays a major role when compared to face, fingerprints and iris based
biometric systems. However, various industry giants have with major data breaches in the past few years. In
recent years, much effective direction representation (DR)-based techniques have been proposed. These
methods only extract DR in one direction level and one scale. Hence, they did not fully utilize all potentia ls o f
DR. In our model, we propose a general framework for DR-based method named Complete Direction
Representation (CDR), which exhibits DR by means of a comprehensive and complete way. We propose a
unified Handprint recognition framework to combine CDR and BLPOC techniques. Based on this framework,
we develop a novel Handprint recognition algorithm in frequency domain using MFRAT. To pu t o f f fea ture
redundancy, the Sequential Forward Selection (SFS) Algorithm is used to select a smal l number o f CDR
images. It is considered to be a very effective technology as it challenges the hackers to penetrate and ensures
safety among the users.

ABSTRACT:
Credit card fraud is a significant issue in financial services and fraud detection is a critical prob lem
affecting large financial companies that have increased due to the growth in credit card transact ions. Huge
amount of cash is getting lost because of credit card extortion consistently. There is a shortage of examination
concentrates on dissecting true credit card information due to secrecy issues. In this model, AI calculations are
utilized to identify Credit card fruad. Standard models are right off the bat utilized. At that point, cro ssover al l
the models and we use Adaboost and larger part casting a survey strategies are applied. The framework works
extremely quickly because of this Adaboost and greater part casting multiple survey techniques. To assess the
model productivity, a freely accessible Credit card informational collection is utilized. At that point, a genuine
Credit card informational collection from a monetary relationship is broke down. Moreover, commot ion i s
added to the data tests to additionally survey the vigor of the calculations. The exploratory outcomes decidedly
show that the dominant part casting a survey technique accomplishes great precision ra tes in recognizing
extortion cases in credit cards. The MCC metric has been adopted as a performance measure, because it takes
into consideration truth and false or positive and negative predicted outcomes. The majority voting method has
yielded the best MCC score to the data set. By using this technique, the high amount of losses due to fraud and
the awareness of the relation between loss and also the available limit have got to be reduced.

ABSTRACT
Public data is gathered through high technology computerization for analyzing private visiting behaviors and
collective mobility patterns in different areas. Existing studies have notably focused on identifying passenger’s
motion patterns. Public activities can easily become distracted in crowded environments, where they are often
rushing from one location to another location. Having their focus drift f rom their belong ings, they o ften
become common targets of pick-pockets. Indeed, it is challenging to detect thef t act ivit ies committed by
cunning thieves who know how to escape without being discovered. However, we creatively leveraged such
information for identifying pickpocket suspects. Stopping pickpockets in the public transit machine has been
quintessential for enhancing passenger pleasure and public safety. Nonetheless, in practice, i t i s d i f ficul t t o
discern thieves from everyday passengers. In this project, we proposed a suspect detection and surveil lance
system, which can become aware of pickpocket suspects primarily based on their everyday t ransit records.
Specifically, we first extracted a wide variety of beneficial points from every passenger's daily activities in the
transit system. Then we took a method that exploits the strengths of unsupervised outlier detection and
supervised classification models to pick out thieves, who usually exhibit strange t ravel ling behaviors. We
additionally proposed a prototype gadget for attainable uses via security personnel since passengers in the
public transit systems have less attention to their property when they are in a rush or in a crowded
environment.

ABSTRACT:
With the advancement in the field of computer science and with the introduction of new technologies the usage
of these technologies became more prevalant. Among those technologies cloud computing is the most widely
used technology which provides remote access to the data when connected through the internet. Bu t wi th the
advances in the cyber security, there is increase in the number of attacks on the data which is kept in the cloud
and also on the network. Through these attacks the adversary is able to retrieve the data from the cloud even
the data to be stored in the cloud is encrypted by using the cryptographic a lgori thms. So t o increase the
security of the data which is being hosted in the cloud, and also to avoid adversary to access that data there i s
a need to increase the security to the data even if the key is exposed. This can be done by using cryptographic
algorithms which are more secure than the existing ones. So in order to improve the security of the data and to
prevent the data from the adversary attacks we here propose a new system called Bastion, a novel and
encryption scheme which guarantees data confidentiality even if the encryption key is leaked and the adversary
has got access to the cipher blocks. By using this scheme it can be guaranteed that, only less than 5 percen t
overhead may be obtained when compared to existing semantically secure encryption modes. This bastion can
be integrated in the existing systems.

Suicidal ideation detection in online social networks is an emerging research area wi th major cha llenges.
Recent research has shown that the publicly available information, spread across social media p lat forms,
holds valuable indicators for effectively detecting individuals with suicidal intentions. The key challenge o f
suicide prevention is understanding and detecting the complex risk factors and warning signs that may
precipitate the event. In this paper, we present a new approach that uses the social media platform Twi t ter to
quantify suicide warning signs for individuals and to detect posts containing suicide-related content. The main
originality of this approach is the automatic identification of sudden changes in a user’s online behavior. To
detect such changes, we combine natural language processing techniques to aggregate behavioral and textual
features and pass these features through a martingale framework, which is widely used for change detection in
