Brief Information:

Mr. Dhaniram Ratiram Bhajipale, 52 yr. old farmer’s resident of Zilmili village Post. Kamtha, Distt. Gondia being born and brought up from poor family having 3 children and total five members in family. Initially he adopted traditional farming. As Gondia district is rice farming belt most of the farmers cultivated only paddy crop in traditional way but this farmer when contact with Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Gondia before he got low yield of paddy crop but under technical guidance of KVK Gondia he could increase their paddy crop productivity due to adoption SRI method under the technical guidance of KVK Gondi. He rearing with high milk producer cow as Sahiwal, 3 cow and 5 calf and their utilization of byproduct like dung and urine and animal waste established 3 Vermicompost units on their farm and usages vermicompost & composts and doing organic farming so can save the unnecessary expenditure on chemical fertilizer also cultivation of other crop like Drumstick, Groundnut, Vegetable crops and increase their Income from this diversified farming approach and

Most important technology adopted by the farmers in Gondia district :

Feeding of azolla to milch cow increases the milk yield.

Enrichment of paddy straw increases the palatability of feed & feeding efficiency of cattle & increases milk yield.

Adoption of farmers to Redgrame PKV TARA improved variety due to resistance against wilt disease & got

satisfactory yield.

Application of micro nutrient i.e. Zink sulphate results in good tillers in paddy crop.

Cultivation of paddy crop through SRI method use good result in case of yield & reduces cost of cultivation

These above technologies horizontal sprade on large scale through various extension activities

perfomed by KVK, Gondia with state agriculture department & ATMA and allied department
