Today program started with welcome dance (Indian classical) by students and later guests i.e., Dr.

were invited on to the dias at R&D block auditorium. Later prayer song by student followed by lightening of

lamp and the guests delivered their speeches regarding the conference that this type of international

conferences will get all types of innovations, ideas, research works all around the world gather at one place.

And Vice chancellor was very happy for conducting this event in our KLEF.

Dr. G. Appa Rao, Professor, IIT Madras, Former scientist

at DRDO. He received his masters in engineering and was awarded Ph.D. from IISC

Bangalore.

He was awarded DAE-SRC Outstanding investigator award in 2015 by the

department of Atomic energy, for the outstanding contribution in a special area

of research.

He also received Young Scientist Award under SCRC fast track Scheme by

DST Govt. of India in 2002 for best research proposal. And Ultratech

Outstanding superstructure award by ICI for design of a bridge across Arian

Kuppam, and as well Bharat Jyothi award by International Friendship Society

in 2006.

He has memberships in IAFRAMCOS, ICI, ACI, SMIRT, EM and ISTE.

His Research interests are Fracture Mechanics of Concrete (Applications),

Reinforced and Pre-stressed Concrete, FE Modelling and strengthening of RC Joints/connections, Structural Materials.

Currently Dr. G Apparao is working as professor at IIT Madras.

II.. DR. N.V Ramana Rao,

Director and Professor, Civil

Engineering, NIT Warangal. He was awarded Post Doctorate and PhD

at UK in Civil and Structural Engineering

from University of wales, Swansea, UK.

Masters Engineering from IIT Delhi.

I am very happy to mention that He has

edited three books and published 147

papers in International Journals.

I would like to mention few in specific of

the several awards he received like

Outstanding Concrete Engineer award for

the year 2012 by AP, Sir Arthur Cotton

memorial Prize by the Institute of

Engineers for the best paper in the IEI

Journal, December 2012.

He has been member of Academic senate,

JNTU Hyderabad, Expert committee

member of City Police Commissionarate,

Headquarters Building and Integrated Command and Control centre and so on.

Ranjith Dissanayake, Senior Professor in Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka

He was a Fulbright Scholar, Endeavour Fellow, and JASSO Research Fellow during 2008. He was awarded the Young Scientist Award in 2007 for Excellence in Scientific Research by the NSTC of Sri Lanka.

He received the Overseas Prize of the ICE in 2007, UK and the Australia Alumni Excellence Award in 2012.

He has published over 100 journal papers. He has chaired ten international conferences. He is a fellow of the IESL.

He is the Chairman of the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL) and Civil Engineering Sectional Committee of IESL. He is

Chainman for Lego International (Pvt.) Ltd, ICB (Pvt.) Ltd, Lanka AAC (Pvt.) Ltd and IIPS (Pvt) Ltd.

He is chairing of the 10th International Conference.

IIII.. J.M Chandra Kishen Gaaru, Professor, IISC Bangalore. Earlier he was a chairman of the Centre of Infrastructure, sustainable Transportation and Urban Planning, IISC Bangalore.

He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado, Boulder, USA in the year 1996.

His research interests are in the area of fracture and fatigue mechanics with applications to residual life assessment and health monitoring

of damaged structures.

He is nominated as the fellow of the international association of fracture mechanics of concrete and concrete structures.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions in the field of engineering sciences, he was presented with the prof. Satish Dhawan Young

Engineer State Award by the Government of Karnataka.

IIIIII.. Bambang Istijono, Professor, Department of Civil engineering of Andalas University, Padang,

Indonesia.

He was awarded Doctorate from Andalas University, Indonesia.

He completed his Master Engineering from WRDTC, Roorkee University.

And Graduated PG Diploma from WRDTC, Roorkee University.

His research interests are Water Resources Engineering and Management as well as Disaster Risk Education.

He has done 22 journal publications and many conference proceedings.
