Create a FineNet P8 crawler

Before stating this:

1. Install the FileNet P8 Content Engine Client of appropriate version (same version as server to connect) on the crawler server

2. Run escrfilenet.vbs (Windows) or escrfilenet.sh (Unix), specify the installation directory of FileNet P8 CE client

3. Restart the enterprise search by:esadmin stopesadmin start

Configure connection to a FineNet P8 server•Content Engine Web Service URL

•User name/password

•Location of a SSL keystore file on local file system of the crawler node (optional)

This value is set as javax.net.ssl.trustStore property for SSL connection to a CE Web Service server. It is to authenticate a server by using trusted CA.

Select targets to be crawled•On top level of the hierarchy tree, Object Stores on the server is displayed

•On second level, RootFolder and RootClass are displayed

•By selecting RootFolder, a list of root folders in the Object Store is displayed on third level

•By selecting RootClass, a list of root classes in the Object Store is displayed on third level

•Select one or more folders and/or classes to crawl

Metadata of Class viewIf classes of the Class view (RootClass) are selected as crawled targets, the crawler detects properties of the classes. User can populate them as metadata fields with specifying field properties.

Metadata of Folder viewIf folders of the Folder view (RootFolder) are selected as crawled targets, the crawler adds just 4 common properties as metadata fields. To populate more class specific properties as metadata fields, user should add them by manual with specifying property names
