There is only one place to view and source industrial technology equipment from over 120 exhibitors in the KwaZulu-Natal region. With a history spanning over 36 years, the KwaZulu-Natal Industrial Technology Exhibition (KITE) has been the launchpad for a number of best practice technologies over the years and has provided a diverse market with a multitude of solutions.

Held at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 26 to 28 July, KITE has a lineup of new and updated technologies for all industrial sectors in the province. The exhibition is characterised by its interactive nature, with ongoing dem-onstrations providing a completely simulated real-life experience for visitors.

Technology for improved productivity and enhanced ROIKlüber Lubrication will be conducting dem-onstrations of its speciality lubricants by using a scaled working model of two worm gears, demonstrating how the lubricant will save costs on businesses’ monthly energy bills.

Weicon GmbH & Co. KG will highlight its special adhesives and sealants, technical sprays and high-performance assembly pastes and greases for all areas of industry, as well as its range of stripping tools. Weicon has developed an adhesive that is especially suitable for bond-ing different types of plastic – RK-7300. It has a high-strength, high viscosity, is impact resistant and withstands static and dynamic loads. High-strength bondings are possible even in the case of low-energy plastics.

Modena Design Centres specialises in the supply of and training in premium design soft-ware in the architecture, engineering, construc-tion and manufacturing industries. Modena provides accredited training certifi cations for building, civil infrastructure, process and power professionals.

Acrow has opened a new division, extend-ing its services in the strut and cable industries. Acrow will be showcasing all of its products through video, as well as physical examples at the exhibition, highlighting European technol-ogy working in an African environment.

Technical Machine Suppliers will be launch-ing Chen Hsong Group’s JETMASTER MK6 Servo Drive injection moulding machine. When producing power tools battery plugs in fl ame-retardant PC+ABS, the cycle time was 29 seconds, with an acceptance rate of 98.6%. On the production of nailer casings, the cycle time was 28 seconds and the acceptance rate was 98.8%.

Omron will showcase its fl agship Sysmac motion solutions, incorporating robotic and visual inspection control. Omron products on exhibition include Sysmac motion and PLC

control, NX remote I/O, vision systems, safety products, servos and variable speed drives, human-machine interface (HMI), and various general control components.

Amongst some of the new products being launched by ifm electronic are the IO-Link and SafeLine SmartPLC. The AL1100 IO-Link master can be supplied according to UL Class 2 without using an energy limited power supply according to UL Class 2. The SafeLine SmartPLC combines two separate PLCs in one compact housing. While one PLC solves safety-related applications, the second PLC either works as a standard PLC or as a platform for other tasks.

Pyrotec PackMark will launch its 9405 con-tinuous inkjet printer. The printer provides pri-mary product coding, up to fi ve lines of print, print speeds of up to 4.6 m/s, constant quality coding, long maintenance intervals and the ability to upload codes via a USB connection.

Loadtech’s Model LT200 load cell and LT2006 EZEE-MOUNT load cell will take centre stage on the company’s stand. The LT200 load cells have a low-profi le shear web design, making them extremely robust with excellent resistance to side and torsion loads. The LT2006 EZEE-MOUNT is the result of client requests for a load cell (the LT200) complete with mounting accessories already assembled.

Busch will focus on its RA series oil rotary vane for the food packing industry, the MM series dry claw for the woodworking market and the WT series of over-pressure blowers for the sewerage sector.

Besides a complete range of large bore fl anged butterfl y and gate valves, Ultra Control Valves’ expertise and core business is automatic control valves and air release valves. A new type of pressure reducing valve,

which is ideal for African and rural applica-tions and is a great water saving device, will be launched.

ATI Systems will have on its stand an electrical assembly which is unique to the southern Africa market. Elsteel Technomodule is a fully modular assembly.

Fluiconnecto by Manuli is focused on high-pressure fl uid connectors, providing products and application knowledge and maintenance services, to all market segments through a global network.
