M&B Conversions ltd

Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Bedek Aviation Group

and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) have signed a contract to

establish a joint venture company to perform

conversion of B767-300 aircraft from

passenger to special freighter configuration

IAI and Mitsui was established a fifty-fifty joint venture, M&B

Conversions Ltd., in Ireland. IAI is currently have a

Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the 767-300BDSF U.S.

The B767-300 was introduced in the late 1980s, and currently

there are more B767-300’s in service than any other aircraft in

its class. As increasing numbers of B767-300’s are retired from

passenger service, the cargo conversion market will see a

steep increase in eligible aircraft

I hope that all of the IAI team is doing well and I want to inform you, that believe it or not the first B-767-200SF in the world, converted by IAI is reaching the time to have its first SC1 & C1 heavy check.

The maintenance process will take effect in Tampa Cargo FAA repair station in MDE, starting its service on the 7th of March 2006. Considering that this situation may be of importance for IAI and its technical team, you are invited to visit the process, for any technical requirement you may be needing.

For the record the aircraft has flown over 5,500 hrs. up to date and the design of the conversion has perform at this stage over expect, congratulations. All of you must feel very proud!
