2 Solar!services!

*

2.1 Solar&scenario&overview&

*

These*services*are*aimed*to*the*optimization*of*the*energy*consumption.*The*service*offers*detailed*simulation*solar*potential*for*each*roof*and*visualisation*of*the*monthly*and*annual*irradiation*maps*over*the*whole*Pilot*Territory.*

By*default,*annual*daily*average*irradiation*is*rendered*on*the*roofs.**

*

Picking*on*a*selected*roof*generates*an*Information*window*(iBUILDING*button*must*be*ON):**

Page 7: I-scope user guide v.2.1

i=SCOPE*User*Guide*V.2**

7**

*

The*Information*window*provides*the*information*on:**

• Average*year*irradiation*[kWh/(m2)],**• Roof*south*exposure*[%],**• Roof*monthly*irradiation*[kWh/(m2*day)],**• Address*of*the*building,**• Roof*area*[m2],**• Average*roof*irradiation*[kWh/(m2*day)]*and**• Full*roof*annual*irradiation*[MWh].*

*

2.2 Roof&potential&calculator&

Check* the* solar* potential* of* a* specific* roof* surface.* Run* the* simulation* to* estimate* the* energy*production*values*for*a*specific*solar*panel*installation.**

1.* Insert*the*address*you*are* interested* in*and*click*"SEARCH";*the*camera*will*automatically*move*over*the*selected*address*area*(this*step*is*optional).*

2.*Pick*on*a*selected*roof*surface*(Use*"Pick*a*building"*button):*the*selected*surface*will*turn*green*and*an*information*panel*will*appear*on*the*right*side.*

3.*Now*just*fill*the*form*and*click*on*“Calculate”.*

*

*

2.3 Irradiation&maps&

The*“Extra*Service* =* irradiation*map”* tab*allow* to*visualize*on* top*of* the* terrain* the*output*of* the*solar*irradiation*simulation.*

Simply*select*the*month*in*which*you*are*interested*in*and*click*over*the*“Display”*button.**

*

The* selected*month* irradiation*map*will* appear* in* overlay* giving* a* precise* idea* of* the* amount* of*average* daily* solar* irradiation* received* by* each* part* of* the* terrain* during* the* selected*month* (or*during*the*whole*year*if*Annual*button*is*selected).*

*

*

3 Noise!services!

*

3.1 Noise&scenario&overview&

*

The*services*available*in*this*section*are*aimed*to*the*environmental*monitoring*through*a*real=time*noise*mapping*service,*leveraging*citizen's*involvement*who*will*act*as*distributed*sensors*measuring*noise*levels*through*their*mobile*phones.*

Page 11: I-scope user guide v.2.1

i=SCOPE*User*Guide*V.2**

11**

*“Averaged*maps”* service* provides* the* output* of* the*whole* process:* all* the* data* collected* by* the*mobile*users*is*grouped*and*elaborated*in*order*to*obtain*a*meaningful*and*reliable*representation*of*the*environmental*noise.*

*“Punctual*values”*service*enables*query*and*retrieve*of*each*single*user*measurement.*

*

*

3.2 Averaged&maps&

*

Use*the*drop*down*menu*on*the*right*to*select*the*different*noise*maps*generated*using*the*citizens*measurements.*

*

Page 12: I-scope user guide v.2.1

i=SCOPE*User*Guide*V.2**

12**

The* selected* averaged* noise* map* is* displayed* on* the* screen.*With* right* click* of* the* mouse* on* a*square*the*quantitative*data* is*displayed*(Mean,*Min*and*Max*dB*value;*Number*of*measurements*within*the*square;*Start*and*End*time*of*the*measurements*used*for*calculation).*

The*map**layer*is*dismissed*with*"HIDE"*button.***

*

*

3.3 Punctual&values&

*

Start*clicking*on*the*“Draw*an*Area”*button,*then*using*your*mouse*click*and*drag*a*rectangle*over*the* desired* area.* If* the* rectangle* becomes* red* it*means* that* the* selected* area* is* too* big;* simply*reduce*its*dimension*dragging*the*border*until*the*green*is*back.*

* *

Page 13: I-scope user guide v.2.1

i=SCOPE*User*Guide*V.2**

13**

*

Once*a*good*selection*has*been*done*click*the*"DISPLAY"*and*the*punctual*noise*acquisition*will*be*shown*as*3D*cubes.*The*colour*and*the*dimension*of*the*cubes*change*accordingly*to*the*acquired*noise*value.*In*order*to*access*more*detailed*information*simply*put*your*mouse*over*a*cube:*a*pop*up*containing*additional*information*will*appear.*You*can*perform*as*many*request*you*want,*thus*retrieving*information*over*different*areas*time*frames.*The*"HIDE"*button*will*remove*all*the*previously*requested*cubes.*

*

*

4 Routing!services!

*

4.1 Routing&scenario&overview&

*

i=SCOPE*smart*routing*service*returns*orientation*and*navigation*information,*customised*to*cater*for*pedestrian* and* diversely* able* users.* The* service* works* as* classical* routing* services* providing*instruction*to*arrive*to*point*B*starting*from*point*A.*The*innovative*aspect*of*the*service*is*that*it*is*focus* on* giving* information* for* pedestrian* and* diversely* able* users,* indeed* thanks* the* i=SCOPE*information* the* algorithm* takes* in* account* several* features* traditionally* not* used* by* the* classical*services*including:*barriers,*sidewalks*stairs*etc.*

Page 14: I-scope user guide v.2.1

i=SCOPE*User*Guide*V.2**

14**

Furthermore* the* services*provides*even* information*about* the*points*of* interest* that* the*user*will*meet* during* each* single* part* of* the* paths,* in* order* to* assisting* orientation* of* people* with* visual*limitations.*

*

*

4.2 Trip&planner&

*

The*trip*planner*section*allows*users*to*select*their*options*for*the*routing*services*results.*There**are*two*main*interaction*ways*to*select*the*start*and*end*destination:**

a)* TEXTUAL* INFORMATION* allows* users* to* insert* the* Starting* and* Destination* Addresses* in* the*specific*form*

Page 15: I-scope user guide v.2.1

i=SCOPE*User*Guide*V.2**

15**

*

*

*

*b)*MAP* PICKING* allows* users* to* directly* select* on* the*map* the* start* and* destination.* Decide* the*route*start*and*end*point*by*clicking*on*the*maps.*It*is*possible*to*move*the*"S"*(start)*and*"E"*(end)*icons*also*in*a*second*moment.*

*

Complete*the*"Disability",*"Street*Quality",*"Maximum*Slope"*and*"Tactile*Paving"*field*with*your*preferences*and*click*the*"CALCULATE"*button.*The*calculated*route,*favouring*the*user*preferences,*will*appear*on*the*map.*
