Isaac Asimov was born January 2, 1920 in Petrovichi, Russia. As a toddler, Isaac’s family immigrated to Brooklyn, New York. Isaac graduated from high school at 15 then entered Columbia thereafter.

He received his Bachelor of Science in 1939 then went on to earn his M.A. and PhD. Isaac became an ssocicate professor of Biochemistry in 1955. While a professor at Boston University of Medicine, Isaac wrote I, Robot in 1950. Isaac is creditied with coining the term, robotics.

Isaac died in New York City from heart failure in 1992 at the age of 72. He was survived by his two children and second wife.
