AUDIENCE RESEARCH The age that we chose for our primary
target audience is between 13 and 25.
This is because at this age stage, people
are learning about relationships
therefore they have the want and need
to watch the different side of dating
(domestic abuse) and experience
different emotions. Also young adults
and teenagers enjoy romance and love
themed music videos which gives them
another kind of psychological
satisfaction besides adrenaline rush.

Our target audience are aimed at boys and girls who are interested
in the music genre pop/R&B, although our main audience are
teenage girls. Our music video is based on themes of love,
relationships, heartbreak and girl dominancy and being brave.
Therefore I think our music video would be most suitable for teenage
girls as they can relate the music video to situations in their life.
AUDIENCE RESEARCHGENDER
Gender: to target male audience, we decided to put a
track shot of the young pretty girl walking up the stairs
to make the opening sequence more enjoyable to watch
as it gives the male audience a voyeuristic gratification
as she's seen doing domestic tasks, making it more
enjoyable to watch. After that, there's a cut to the next
shot of her and her boyfriend, holding hands where a
bit of romance comes in.
AUDIENCE RESEARCHATTRACTING THE AUDIENCE
We want to make sure that out audience will be engaged, interested and
attracted in our music video so, we made the hitting scenes and romantic
scenes in slow motion with a variety of camera shots and angles and
beautiful dreamy colors in the shots with good lighting in the different
scenes.
Beliefs: We want our target audience to believe that it is like a true music
video that would convince people that it is a real, professional music video
when they see it for the first time.
PROMOTION?
I would promote my music video through
my Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat accounts
as this will help to attract a wider group of
audience. My target audience is from 13 -
35 years old and I can find this audience mainly
on my friends list. Not only that, social media is
where primary audience frequently go on
therefore it can reach many people in a short
amount of time.
As this music video will mainly be shown on
youtube, I could pay for advertisement and my
music video will then be shown as a promo
before they watch their chosen video.
DISTRIBUTIONMTV will be a suitable music channel
to distribute our music video because
the music MTV plays is contemporary
and up to date. Our music genre for
our music video is Pop/R&B, MTV will
promote our music video as it caters
for audiences that listen to the Pop
genre. The audience that watch MTV
are quite young, as i mentioned before
our target audience for our video is
the younger generation (13+) therefore
if our video was distributed to MTV it
would be ideal as audience would
watch it.
DISTRIBUTIONVideo marketing is a very important factor to consider even when
at pre-production. Artists create music videos as a powerful tool
for help them to get exposure and attract a wider group of
audience into listening to their music. Therefore another great
distributer is Vevo, which was created by the big three record
labels, Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and
Warner Music Group. Vevo has dominated youtube by their
amazingly popular content which are music videos, posted on
Youtube form artist and therefore it will be a great idea to partner
up with Vevo and get an offer to get on their channel
WEBSITE
Social media platforms are essential tools, but there are benefits of websites for
Productions where they can be represented concisely with a range of pictures,
videos, news and music all clearly labelled and easily navigated. The website
was created to further promote our product as it could be a powerful thing to
portray professionalism in the industry. Not only that, there will be flexibility
because we can create polls and add any programming, widgets or any
modules of our choice. Furthermore, we can own our own shopping cart and
keep more profit for your sales.
