Institutional Credit Requirements
Major Institutional Credit Requirements
Senior Level Credit Requirements
Let us briefly discuss each of these…
Institutional GPA Requirements
In order to complete your degree, you must attain a certain GPA in the courses that you have complete AT TROY.
Courses that may have transferred to Troy do not apply toward your Institutional GPA.
For most undergraduate programs, the required Institutional GPA is a 2.0. However, this may occasionally vary depending on your program of study.

Combined or Overall GPA Requirements In addition to your Institutional GPA, you must also achieve a
certain Combined or Overall GPA.
Your Combined or Overall GPA is determined by the courses you have completed at Troy AND any transfer credits you received from other colleges.
If you have never attended another college other than Troy, your Combined or Overall GPA will be the same as your Institutional GPA.
Once again, the Combined or Overall GPA requirement for most Undergraduate programs is a 2.0, but it can occasionally vary depending on your program of study.

Intent to Graduate Did you know that you must submit an Intent to Graduate form two full
semesters BEFORE you plan to complete your degree?
Even if ALL requirements have been completed, your degree will not be conferred if you did not submit an Intent to Graduate form before the deadline for that semester!
You can find the deadlines to submit an Intent to Graduate by referring to the Dothan Campus Calendar: http://trojan.troy.edu/campus/dothan/calendar.html
Just a reminder: The deadline to file an Intent to Graduate for Spring 2013 will be September 21, 2012 by noon! The deadline for Summer 2013 will March 7, 2013
You can find information about filing an Intent to Graduate –including the electronic form and deadlines- at the following link: http://trojan.troy.edu/records/graduation/intent.html
If you are unable to complete your degree requirements by the end of the Semester that you file your Intent to Graduate form for… If you are unable to complete the requirements prior to your intended graduation date
you will need to re-file to graduate the following semester. You will receive an e-mail with all the re-file instructions, which will be sent to your TROY e-mail account. If you do not receive this e-mail please contact the appropriate Records office as soon as possible.
