WELCOME TO THE
Introducing the car other sedan manufacturers don’t want you to see. Combining premium sophistication and affordability, it exceeds all expectations. With its bold styling, award-winning interior and comprehensive array of
impressive features, it’s in a class of its own.
WE’VE UPPED THE GAME
A beautifully appointed cabin offers many more reasons why the new Elantra should be at the
top of your list.
DESIGN
A sloping, coupe-like roofline, increased wheelbase and swept-back headlamps give this sedan a sporty, low profile and the assertive, powerful stance, while the distinctive hexagonal radiator grille lends authority and muscle to the image.
ELECTRIC MIRRORS
To maximise visibility, the Elantra driver can quickly and easily adjust the electronically controlled side mirrors with the touch of a button, while the bright LED indicators increase safety when turning or changing lanes.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (1.8 ONLY)
ESP continuously monitors vehicle directional stability and tyre traction. If the system senses the car is about to skid and risks spinning out of control, ESP automatically intervenes applying the brakes over individual wheels to prevent loss of directional control.
VSM (Vehicle Stability Management) comes with ESP, which helps the vehicle maintain directional stability when suddenly braking or rapidly accelerating under asymmetric (wet/dry) road surface conditions where traction among the four tires can suddenly become uneven.
RAIN SENSOR
The sensor automatically activates the wipers for greater convenience and increased visibility, giving you one less thing to worry about.
PARK ASSIST
Colour-coded sensors are discreetly mounted on the rear bumper to enhance safety by sounding an audible alarm when an obstacle is detected in reverse gear (on 1.8l).

EXTERIOR
Taking its cues from our Fluidic Sculpture design philosophy, the new Elantra was inspired by the interplay of wind and natural forms to evoke a piece of sculpture literally crafted by wind. The result is a sleek, assertive and highly distinctive design that is guaranteed to command attention wherever it goes.
Steering Wheel ControlS
From the moment you take hold of the leather-wrapped wheel (1.8l), you’ll sense something special about the new Elantra. All communication with the machinery is perfectly intuitive and almost effortless. Now you can adjust the volume or change the track simply and safely, without taking your hands off the wheel.
Aux, iPod, uSB ConneCtion
Now your music goes where you do. Connect your USB stick, MP3 player or iPod® via the USB connection that comes standard with your new Elantra.
AdjuStABle Steering Wheel And driver’S SeAt
Experience a new level of comfort. Featuring a tilt and telescopic adjustment steering wheel. The new Elantra allows you to configure a multitude of seating options, according to your needs.
duAl Zone Control
Never too hot, never too cold. The fully automatic dual zone air conditioning system with air ionizer allows both driver and passenger to individually set their desired temperature for optimum comfort.
ABundAnt StorAge SolutionS
Whether you’re behind the wheel or in the back seat, the new Elantra ends the hunt for space with its abundant storage options. From sunglasses and cup holders to the sizeable 458-litre boot, it has space for your life. Furthermore, with 60/40 split folding rear seatbacks, the new Elantra can carry up to three full-size golf bags or other longer cargo, with room to spare for rear passengers.
Powertrain
The new Elantra comes with a choice of two new and remarkably advanced engines. These powertrains deliver impressively more power while consuming less fuel and producing fewer emissions. The lighter aluminium 1.8l Nu engine is capable of up to 110 Kilowatts (kW) at 6,500rpm while producing 178 Newton Meters (Nm) of peak torque at 4700rpm. The 1.6l Gamma engine is equipped with a D-CVVT and yields a maximum output of 96 Kilowatts (kW) at 6300rpm with a peak torque of 157 Newton Meters (Nm) at 4850rpm. By squeezing the maximum amount of energy from each drop of fuel, these engines deliver class leading fuel economy while lowering operating costs.
Six-SPeed tranSmiSSion
Whether you prefer the six- speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission, you’re guaranteed smooth power delivery and unmatched fuel economy. The new six-speed automatic transmission developed by Hyundai is more fuel efficient, lighter and has fewer moving parts than the five-speed it replaces. This development places Hyundai in an elite group of automakers that independently design and manufacture their own transmissions.
SaFetY FeatUreS
The new Elantra comes standard with highly advanced features. From Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), which provides maximum braking force when a panic stop is detected, and Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), which automatically adjusts the braking force to front and rear axles based on the vehicles loading conditions, to doors that lock automatically at 15km/h, when it comes to safety the new Elantra is a cut above the rest.

ElEctronic throttlE control
A first for the Elantra, engineers have incorporated an electronic throttle control into the system. It replaces the conventional cable and mechanical linkage with fast-responding electronics. This system accurately controls air intake and engine torque for improved drivability, response and fuel economy.
AErodynAmics
With its lower roofline and low rear deck lid, the new Elantra produces a slicker and sportier profile with one of the lowest drag coefficient measures in its class (0.28 Cd). This means its sculptured body actually cheats the wind, yielding reduced wind resistance and ultimately lower fuel consumption. A kicked-up trunk lid and carefully sculpted rear lamps allow for smoother airflow, while a centre floor deflector and flush surfaces on the underside of the car further minimise air turbulence and wind noise.
WELCOME TO THE NEXT LEVEL
A car is more than just a car. A car embodies the kind of person you are, it makes a statement to the world. Dynamic, stylish and contemporary, the all-new Elantra says, “I have arrived”.
