To connect yourself into different information and social streams –dialogues on multiple channels, and absorbing information at a quick pace.
What is hyper-connected?
Hyper-connectivity is usually associated with Millennials or GenY, which comprise one quarter of U.S. population.
That is 78 million born between 1981 and 2000 Two-thirds are over the age of 21
According to Brian Solis, the world moves faster with every generation, and rapid-fire text messaging and social networks allow people to stay connected.
•Balancing real-world and virtual relationships •Creating a constant sense of belonging •Developing an instantaneous ability to disseminate information
“Every few hundred years in Western History there occurs a sharp transformation. Within a few short decades, society rearranges itself….its worldview; its basic values; its social and political structure; its arts; its key institutions. Fifty years later, there is a new world. And the people born then cannot even imagine the world in which their grandparents lived. We are currently living through just such a transformation. It is creating the post-capitalist society.”Peter Drucker
