The story of Argyle pink diamonds began in the land of the East Kimberley, an area of Western Australia rich in captivating heritage. With breathtaking vastness, and ochre terrain set against a striking blue sky, the world’s rarest diamond, the Argyle pink diamond was born.

In 1979 a geologist discovered a diamond embedded in an anthill and a Rio Tinto owned mine was subsequently built on the site in1985.

Argyle pink diamonds are beyond rare; of the 600 million stones produced each year, just one tenth of one percent are pink. In fact, a whole year of Argyle Pink Diamonds’ production over half a carat, could be held in the palm of your hand. With only an estimated decade of supply remaining in the mine, the Argyle pink diamond is an increasingly rare gem.
