The nursery is staffed during the 9:15 Bible Study Hour & 10:45am service. Parents may use this room during the 8:00am service as well, but the room will not be staffed by volunteers. An usher will be happy to help you find the nursery located in the Early Childhood’s Child Care Room. The offering is an opportunity for our members to support the Lord’s work at Trinity. As our guest, we ask only that you sign our Friendship Pad as it is passed down the pew. When we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we do so convinced that Jesus gives us His true body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins. Receiving the Lord’s Supper here expresses not only fellow- ship with the Lord, but also agreement with the teachings of this congregation. Therefore com- municant members of LC-MS congregations are always welcome to commune with us, and other guests wishing to commune are kindly asked to speak with the pastor before the service. We cherish the opportunity to worship with all follow- ers of Jesus, and we regret the sad divisions within Christianity. Whether you are communing with us today or not, please join us (and Jesus!) in praying for truth and unity within His Church. This facility is equipped with a hearing assis- tance system. Please ask an usher for a receiv- er. We would love to have your family join us for our Fellowship Hour and T3 that takes place Sunday mornings at 9:15a. Welcome Guests! We are glad you are here! Here are a few things we thought you would like to know to help you feel at home with us today:

Please accept one of the green bags that you will find on your way out of the front entrance of the sanctuary as our gift to you.

Restrooms are located in the large room adja-cent to the sanctuary. Our ushers will be glad to point you in the proper direction.

Children are always welcome to worship with us and sincerely, that is what we prefer. However, for your convenience, a nursery is available for parents with children 3 years old and younger who might wish to use it. The nursery is staffed during the 9:15 Bible Study Hour & 10:45am service. Parents may use this room

during the 8:00am service as well, but the room will not be staffed by volunteers.

Receiving the Lord’s Supper here expresses not only fellow-ship with the Lord, but also agreement with the teachings of this congregation. Therefore com-municant members of LC-MS congregations are always welcome to commune with us, and other guests wishing to commune are kindly asked to

speak with the pastor before the service. We cherish the opportunity to worship with all follow-ers of Jesus, and we regret the sad divisions within Christianity. Whether you are communing with us today or not, please join us (and Jesus!) in praying for truth and unity within His Church.

This facility is equipped with a hearing assis-tance system. Please ask an usher for a receiv-er.

We would love to have your family join us for our Fellowship Hour and T3 that takes place Sunday mornings at 9:15a. Ask any of our members or the pastor and we will be happy to help you find your way and get settled in.

In Christ, Pastor Carl Lehenbauer Pastor Christopher Conkling

Prayer Before Worship: Holy Lord, please prepare me for this time of worship. Focus me on You and Your Word. Help me to tune out the distractions that would rob me of this precious time with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Old Testament Reading: Isaiah 49:1-7 (Sermon Text) Listen to me, you islands; hear this, you distant nations: Before I was born the LORD called me; from my birth he has made mention of my name. He made my mouth like a sharpened sword, in the shadow of his hand he hid me; he made me into a pol-ished arrow and concealed me in his quiver. He said to me, "You are my servant, Israel, in whom I will display my splendor." But I said, "I have labored to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing. Yet what is due me is in the LORD's hand, and my reward is with my God." And now the LORD says-- he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to him-self, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD and my God has been my strength--he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gen-tiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth." This is what the LORD says-- the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel-- to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: "Kings will see you and rise up, princes will see and bow down, because of the LORD, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you."

P: How sweet are your words to my taste. C: Sweeter than honey to my mouth.

Epistle Reading: 1 Corinthians 1:1-9 Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sos-thenes, To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be holy, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I always thank God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. For in him you have been enriched in every way--in all your speaking and in all your knowledge--because our testimony about Christ was confirmed in you. Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Je-sus Christ to be revealed. He will keep you strong to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God, who has called you into fellow-ship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.

P: How sweet are your words to my taste. C: Sweeter than honey to my mouth.

Gospel—Good News: John 1:29-42a The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, 'A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.' I myself did not know him, but the reason I came baptizing with water was that he might be re-vealed to Israel." Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him. I would not have known him, except that the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, 'The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is he who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.' I have seen and I testify that this is the Son of God." The next day John was there again with two of his disciples. When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!" When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus. Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, "What do you want?" They said, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?" "Come," he replied, "and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was about the tenth hour. Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus. The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ).

P: The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are life. C: Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. (John 6: 63b, 68b)

When you hear that “still small voice,” are you certain it’s the Holy Spirit? In this study, featuring personal insights from Beth Moore, Max Lucado, Kay Arthur, and other trusted teachers, author Priscilla Shirer guides you through Scripture to heighten your spiritual senses so you can distinguish the voice of God from imposters’ chatter.

For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God's power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God's power we will live with him to serve you. 2 Corinthians 13:4 Lord our God, we come into Your presence and kneel before Your throne, asking You with all our hearts for Your Spirit, so that our lives may be guided and ruled by You, the one God and Creator of all life. Let Your Word come into our hearts. Give Your blessing on all we experience in life and on all we ask of You as we stand before You. In Your most precious name, Amen.

Be watchful, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Dear Father in heaven, give us childlike hearts so that we may understand everything in the right way. Grant us work that bears fruit in spite of our faults and weaknesses, be-cause we want to work with the understanding given by love. Father in heaven, You know that we are faced day and night with many difficulties and setbacks. But you see us, and You will help us so that Your name may be honored, Your kingdom may come, and Your will may be done on earth as in heaven. Amen. TICKET SALES– Greet people as they come into Trinity, give them a ticket or a weekend pass and they’ll give you money! (sorry, you don’t get to keep the money). Two people for each shift needed.

GRILLING– Do you like cooking on a grill and being in the great outdoors? You can do both at the same time. You will also have the privilege of cooking the world famous Freistadt Frankfurter.

BAKERS NEEDED- Bakery is need-ed to sell at the concession stand of the tournament. The home baked goods sell very fast so we need as many bakers as possible.

Please bring in your baked goods by the morning of Friday, February 7. Thank you very much!!

KITCHEN HELP-Do you like pre-paring food, serving food, or just like the smell of food? This is the job for you.

CASHIER-If you like selling food and taking other people’s money, you’ll enjoy being a cashier.

USHER-Easiest job of all! You get to watch the game in your very own seat and wear an official usher tag!!! If you usher at one of the east doors, all you do is let people into or out of the gym when the

action stops. You also get to tell anyone sitting at a courtside seat they cannot have any beverages or food in those seats. If you usher by the stage, you get to watch the game on your very own padded chair and make sure the fans in the stands behave nicely. The stage is predominately Trinity students and we know they would never misbehave, so how easy can this be? This position is for adults.
