RADAR Menu
• Located under the Main Menu, Accessories Tab
• Used to access the Radar Installation menu and other less frequently adjusted radar settings.

RADAR Menu – Transmission Time
• Used to adjust the amount of time the RADAR transmits before stopping (1-60 seconds).
• Used to adjust the amount of time the RADAR transmits before restarting (1-60 seconds).
• There are two types of transmissions – continuous and timed. • A Timed Transmission is useful for conserving power. This is
often used in sailing applications or when not running engines and helps extend battery run time.

• Used for initial setup/installation of RADAR.
• It should not need to be adjusted or changed by user after the installation has been completed.

• Used to Auto Tune the RADAR.
• Should not need to be used unless user perceives an obvious problem or when major service has been performed on the radar.
• If used, Auto Tune needs to be accomplished in an open relatively unobstructed area.

• Too much trigger delay pulls objects into the center of the display.
• Too little trigger delay pushes objects away from the center of the display.

• Used to filter out the Main Bang return in the immediate vicinity of the RADAR/boat.
• Too much MBS will filter out close objects like boats and buoys.
• Too little MBS leaves noise on the return that can hide close objects like boats and buoys.

• Used to prevent the RADAR from transmitting in a certain direction.
• Useful if the RADAR is installed on a fly bridge behind the user head or in front of their feet.
• After setup RADAR shows where the blanked sector is for safety reasons.

• Used to calibrate the heading of the RADAR with the keel of the boat.
• Each installation will be slightly different so heading lines will have to be adjusted on the water
• Using a finite target (usually a buoy or a small island/building) adjust heading line until RADAR return and boat are lines up on the same target.

– Measures the relative bearing from the boat’s heading to a target
• VRM
– Variable Range Marker
– Measures distance from the boat to a target
• User can create up to two independent EBL’s and VRM’s
