A general report on violation of Human Rights in Kurdistan during January to June

2012.

260 victims of oppressing policies exercised by Islamic Republic of Iran continuing

with the oppression policies in Kurdistan, the Islamic Republic military and

intelligence forces caused 56 cases of death (shot dead,wounded or executed),

imprisonment or injuries accusing the victims of jeopardizing the national security

and acting against the regime.

Based on reports from inside, detainees were interrogated and tortured intensively

during the first week or days after their arrest and being charged with false

accusations, among them some have been kept in custody undecided for a long

period, some have been released on bail and some others faced files that have been

made up and sent to the judiciary.

69 persons have been sent to trial while they have been denied the basic rights of

political prisoners including not having access to the lawyer or being able to defend

themselves in front of a fair court. They have been convicted to the total of 922 month

of imprisonment. The verdicts vary from 5 month to 30 years of imprisonment and

among them 3 persons have been sentenced to death.

Islamic Republic security and military forces in the border area of Kurdistan have

continued killing the poor Kurdish merchandisers or traders.

According to our records during the last six month 16 merchandisers have been shot

by the Islamic Republic military forces and 3 others who stayed in the mountain to

escape being shot by the Islamic Republic military forces have been buried under

avalanche. During the same period 27 other Kurdish traders have been wounded being

shot by Iranian forces. Their horses have also been killed and their merchants have

been confiscated and the Kurdish traders have lost billions.

During the first month of spring 2012, two children of 7 and 8 years old have injured

and lost their hand and legs due to mine explosion in Kurdistan region.

It is worth mentioning that the main source of verification for these information and

statistics have been reports on Kurdistan and Kurd website as well as Kurdpa.net,

Mukriyan news agency and Harana agency and the real statistics regarding human

rights violation in Kurdistan are meaningfully higher that the ones presented here.
