What is LMS?
Learning Management System (LMS) is a set of software tools for delivering, tracking and managing online training and education courses. LMS opts range from systems for managing training records to more flexible software for distributing courses over the Internet and Offering features for online Authoring (Dougiamas and Taylor 2003).

Key Features of LMS
The key features of LMS include but are not limited to the following: • Student Self-service • Self Registration• Instructor Lead Training• Skill Groups Management • User Notifications and Deadlines• Manager Hierarchies• Automated Testing Facilities … and much more

Project Objective
The project objective was to find a suitable Kurdish LMS for Soran University and if not available, then explore the available LMS and attempt in partial translation of the important parts of an existing LMS.

Research Results 1
Based on a questionnaire that was completed by 40 Students from 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st year of computer science we found out that:
1. 38 out of 40 (95%) students would like to use LMS2. 32 out of 40 (80%) students would like to have the LMS
in Kurdish3. 24 out of 40 (60%) students did not know what LMS was4. All 40 (100%) students wanted to have their results back
in private so that their peers didn’t know one another's exam results.

Researches indicate (Bremer and Bryant 2005) that the two most popular LMS available are:
1. Blackboard2. Moodle

Results Produced
• Initial Objective was Translation of Important Parts.
• Final Result was almost Complete Translation ( over 10,000 words and sentences were translated).

Further Work and Recommendation
• Create Custom Template with Right-To-Left (RTL) Support Built-in.
• Translate the most popular Modules that are available.
• Revise the Translation that is already done by me.
