Step 6Remove the drum shutter from the shutterhinges on both sides of the cartridge. (See Photo 7)

Remove the drum shutter from the cradleson both toner hopper end caps.(See Photo 8)

Step 7Separate the toner hopper and wastehopper. Place the waste hopper aside outof the light. Place the toner hopper so thedeveloper roller is facing up with the gearson the right.

Step 8Remove the two screws holding the doctor blade. (See Photo 9)

Step 9Carefully lift the doctor blade from thegear end of the toner hopper.(See Photo 10)

NOTE: The doctor blade is held in placeby a tacky sealing material. Clean thedoctor blade first using dry compressedair. Place the doctor blade into a cleaningfixture and clean the blade using a dry lintfree cloth. If toner buildup is present onthe blade, use a small amount of water toclean the blade.

Step 5Remove the drum shutter actuator spring.(See Photo 6)

Step 12Insert a small flat screwdriver behind themag roller contact to release the metal tabthat holds the contact in place. (See Photo 14) Remove the contact end cap.

NOTE: Clean the contact end cap using a cotton swab and alcohol. Apply newconductive grease on the two contacts(supply and developer roller contacts).

Step 13Remove the screw that holds the developerroller end cap to the toner hopper. (See Photo 15) Remove the end cap.

Step 25Install the toner supply roller end foams tothe axle on each side of the hopper.(See Photo 26)

Step 24Fill the toner hopper through the hole ontop of the hopper. Seal the hole using a fillplug. (See Photo 25)

Step 23Install the seal exit port plug. (See Photo 24)

Step 21Remove the seal exit port plug locatedopposite the gear side.(See Photo 22)

Step 22Using an insertion seal, seal the tonerhopper by inserting the seal through theseal exit port plug. (See Photo 23)

Step 30Place the toner hopper back into theToner Hopper Holding Fixture. Place thedoctor blade onto the toner hopper, installthe two screws that hold the doctor bladebut do not tighten them.(See Photo 31)

Step 39Apply DRUMPOWDERCPT to the wiperblade, place the wiper blade onto thewaste hopper. (See Photo 43)

Install the two screws that hold the wiperblade.(See Photo 44)

Step 38Remove the two screws holding the wiperblade. (See Photo 42)Lift out the wiper blade. Clean the wastehopper using dry compressed air.

Step 37Remove the PCR from the waste hopper.(See Photo 41) Clean the PCR using a drysoft cloth while rotating the drum. Makesure the PCR is totally clean.

Step 35Lift up the red handle to release theclamp, (See Photo 39), remove the wastehopper from the fixture.

Step 36Lift out the cut end of the drum. (See Photo 40) Remove the drum hubfrom inside the drum bearing end cap.

Step 34Attach the drum hub cutting bitinto the drill. Wearing safetyglasses, place the drill into drumbearing end cap in alignmentwith the drum and begin drillingusing light pressure. (See Photo 36)

NOTE: Too much pressure couldcause damage to the hopper.When the drill reaches the end,stop. Apply smooth added forceuntil the front of the slide reach-es the white mark.(See Photos 37 & 38)

Pull the drill straight out toremove.
