HOW  TO  USE  THE  RETOUCHING  TOOLS  IN  PHOTOSHOP:  SPOT  HEALING  BRUSH,  HEALING  BRUSH,  PATCH  AND  RED  EYE    The healing brush tools helps you correct imperfections, which causes them to disappear into the surrounding image. Your picture will become flawless SPOT HEALING BRUSH TOOL

1) Pick an image (personal or of someone else) where you want to fix their blemishes.

2) Select  the  Healing  Brush  tool  (Band-­‐Aid  icon)    3) Depending  on  the  size  of  the  blemish/blemishes  you  can  change  the  brush  

size,  hardness,  opacity  and  etc.  the  MODE  specifies  the  blending  mode  (you  can  choose  to  preserve  the  noise,  film  grain,  etc.)    

4) Watch  your  skin  become  flawless!      

   

   PATCH  TOOL:  The  Patch  tools  helps  you  fix  a  selected  area  with  pixels  from  an  area  or  pattern.    For  example,  unwanted  date  stamps  on  images.    

1) Click  the  Band-­‐Aid  icon  to  change  and  select  the  patch  tool  

 2) Circle  around  the  area  that  you  want  to  patch

 3) Drag  the  selected  area  to  whatever  pattern  you  want  it  to  copy/clone    

 

               

RED  EYE  TOOL:    The  red  eye  tool  removes  and  fixes  red  eyes  that  are  caused  by  the  flash  in  photos.    1) Pick  photo  that  you  want  to  fix  and  select  Red  Eye  Tool  

2) You  can  adjust  the  PUPIL  SIZE  (which  increases  or  decreases  the  area  affected  by  the  red  eye)  or  how  much  you  want  it  to  be  darkened  in  the  DARKEN  AMOUNT  section  at  the  top  

3) Click  each  eye  and  Photoshop  will  automatically  fix  it  for  you.  RED  EYE  NO  MORE
