How to Ship Your Consolidation Shipment Packages with
Kango Express
Consolidation Service Overview We offer an airfreight Consolidation Service to select countries. You can verify which
countries offer this service by checking the Consolidation Countries menu item on our website or the Where We Ship page.
With our airfreight Consolidation Service we combine your packages with those of other customers and ship to your home country 1-2 times per week.
By combining packages of multiple customers we can offer a lower shipping rate. We also bill you on the combined weight of all your packages together.
Most shipments arrive to the destination country within 5 days of shipment.
You can estimate the cost of shipping with the Consolidation Service by using our Cost Calculator or reviewing the rates on the Shipping Rates page.
We offer free resizing on all packages to reduce volume weight as much as possible.
Packages can be held up to 30 days in our warehouse free of charge.
You can review the days we ship, duty/tax information and our local office information by visiting the designated country page under the Consolidation Countries menu item.
Once you receive notification from Kango that we have received your package, log into your account and go to the Packages in Warehouse section.
Click on the Consolidation Services Packages section to view all your packages in our warehouse.
Packages in the pink/red area require your attention. Normally this is because we did not get a packing list with the package, and you must declare the fair market value of your items.
Packages may also be missing a delivery address if you have not yet set up a Default Delivery address in your account preferences.
Click on the Edit/Pencil next at the far right to add the missing information.
Add the fair market value (or amount you paid) for the item in the unit cost box. This value is used for reporting to Customs.
This should be in $USD. Select the “Update” button at the bottom of the page. This same process would be followed to update the Delivery Address.
Once you have successfully entered a value or updated the missing information, your package will move to the yellow section which means it is Available to Ship.
When you are ready to ship your packages you will now select the check boxes next to the packages you want to ship, and click on “Ship Selected”.
Once you select “Ship Selected” a pop up box will appear with the upcoming shipment dates for the particular country.
You will select the date you wish to have your packages shipped on (the default is the next available shipment) and select “Submit”.
Note that the dates are in YY-MM-DD format.
Once you have selected your Shipment Date, your packages now move to the Scheduled to Ship section of your package listing. No further action is needed for your packages to be included in the selected shipment.
Note that once you schedule your packages you will see the estimated invoice amount based on the packages included in the shipment.
Once the Close time (this is the time/date after which no additional packages can be added to the shipment – this is published on the country page under the Consolidation Countries menu item on our website) has arrived, your packages will move to the Sent Packages section of your account.
As we prepare the packages for shipment, you will see the status change from Closed to Overpacked to Ready to Shipped.
Once we have finalized the shipment, you will receive an email from Kango Express letting you know your packages have shipped and receive a link to your Invoice. Note: Keep in mind that our warehouse is in a different time zone so you
may not receive this notification until the day after the scheduled ship date considering the local destination time zone.
Once your packages ship and you have received notification, you can track when the package is estimated to arrive in your country by selecting the “Track” button next to your shipment. Note: The estimated arrival date represents the arrival in the local
country. Please allow for 1-2 days for customs clearance and local delivery to start.
Once your packages have shipped, you will want to pay your pending invoice to avoid delays with the delivery of your packages.
Your invoice can be found within the Invoices section of the My Account menu item in your account.
Once you click on the invoice number, you can view the entire invoice. Select the Pay Now button to begin the payment.
Begin the payment process. 1. If you have a promo code (such as a first time customer promo), enter it here and the discount will be applied when you
select “Apply”.2. If you have an account credit balance, you can select here to apply it to the invoice to lower the charges.3. Select how you will pay your charges. If you select PayPal, the PayPal check out button will appear and you should clock
on that to authorize your payment. 4. If you leave it on CC, you will select one of your verified credit cards from the drop down. If you do not have a verified
card yet, you will need to add a credit card and complete the verification process (see separate tutorial). Once you select your CC, the “Pay Now” button will appear for you to select to confirm your payment.
Upon arrival to the destination country, our local staff will contact you if you are required to pay any duties or taxes.
Once the shipment has arrived at our local office/warehouse, you will receive an automated message letting you know the packages have arrived.
IMPORTANT: If you requested to pick up your packages, you can proceed to pick them up during our local office normal business hours. If you chose to have the delivered, the packages will be sent out for delivery to the address you indicated.
