Why add your events to JustGiving?
Adding your events to JustGiving:
• Allows your fundraisers to find the event they are taking part in.• Lets them link the event to their fundraising page.• Improves your reporting as you can be sure that your supporters
select the correct event when they make their page. This is a big benefit if your charity uses custom codes.

How to add an event to JustGiving
Step 1 Add an event • Log in to your charity account. • Go to Fundraising tools.• Click on Add an event.

Step 2 About the event First, we need a few details about the event.
• Enter the name of the event and its start date. (If the event already exists, it will appear under Existing events. Just click on Continue with this event.)
• Choose an event category and enter the event location.
• Select Yes if supporters can take part in this event and raise funds for charities other than your own, and No if not.
• Enter an event description to help your supporters recognise their event.
• Select Continue.

Step 3 Admin details Then we need some details from you.
• Enter your details so we can send you an email once the event has been added.
• Select your charity’s main appeal and click Submit event.
• Check the event details you have added are correct on the confirmation screen. If they need changing, email us at [email protected].

There are loads of great ways of using links and buttons to promote your event.Here are a few examples:
• Event registration emails - You can include this link in event registration emails to your supporters.
• Your charity's website - Add a linked button to your website so your supporters can easily make a fundraising page for your event and charity.
• Appeal pages - If you have an appeal page set up on JustGiving, you can paste an event link into the My story section to enable your supporters to fundraise and donate to your charity.
• Event landing pages - If your charity is holding a series of events, creating an event landing page with event links is a great way to promote them.
• Facebook or Twitter - You can promote your event to an even bigger audience by posting an event link on Facebook or via your Twitter account.

How to report on an event
You can use our reports to easily view how much your event has raised. Here’s how:
1. Log in to your charity account.2. Go to Reports.3. Click on Fundraising page reports.4. Include fundraising pages with an event date.5. Enter the date of the event you want to report on.6. Select your preferred report format from the
drop down.7. Click on Create report.
Your report will give you a list of all fundraising pages created for the event and the total amount raised for each page. All you have to do is add up the total raised columns to find out the total raised for that event.
