4 x 4; 5 x 7 or larger Hoop

Sulky 40 wt. Rayon decorative threads as specifiedon the color chart

Sulky Cut-away Plus™ Stabilizer

1 white craft felt sheet

A piece of pink fabric for the appliqué

1 foam sheet 9 in x 12 in

Sharp, short-bladed/curved pointed scissors

Badge reel for ID name badges

Beacon Quick Grip Glue

Load the 2020Hero file into the machine.

Hoop 1 layer Cut-away stabilizer (med. wt.) under a piece of thin white craft felt.

Run the machine to stitch the guideline.

Cover the guideline with a piece of pink fabric and embroider the tack down.

Carefully trim away the excess fabric outside the stitch line.

Embroider the zig-zag stitches.

Run the machine to embroider the detail. Disengage the hoop.

Unhoop. Cut a seam allowance

⅛” right around.

Lay down a piece of foam sheet and trace the design (heart) on the foam.

Draw a line ⅛” inside

and parallel to the first line.

Cut on the inside line.

Apply Quick Grip glue to the whole area.

Position the glue side of the foam part to the back of your patch. Maintain

the ⅛” overlap of the

patch right around the work piece.

Apply glue to the badge reel.

Position the badge reel at the back of your work piece. Hold until set.
