How to Link up to International

In order to be eligible for a Website link to International, a state organization or chapter website must adhere to the standards adopted by the Society. Once the Website is in compliance, application can be made to become an official link to the International Website.

Chapters should send a “Society Website Certification Request Form 72” to: Claire Swanson, Chair of the Communications Committee

Once your website has been reviewed and approved, you will need to pay the one-time Chapter/State Website Fees.

Remember…

All Websites will contain:

The Society Purposes, Mission Statement and Vision Statement.

A pale or white background.

The Greek and geographical name must be in the header.

An official DKG logo must be in the header on the home page.

Approved fonts that are easy to read.

A list of State or Chapter Officers.

A list of State or Chapter meetings.

Remember…

All Websites will contain:

Photos reflecting activities, projects and programs.

State Organization Bylaws or Chapter rules.

Current newsletters if applicable.

Each page will be dated (Month, Year) as to its latest revision.

Society Websites will not include direct advertising or fundraising promotions.

Strict Adherence to Copyright Laws.

Check the DKG International site for additional information.

Privacy & Copyright Issues A copyright is the exclusive legal right given to the originator of a body of work or their assignee to print, publish, perform, film, or record a literary, artistic, or musical work. A work that was granted a copyright by law on or after January 1, 1978 is protected for the lifetime of the author or creator for a period of 50 years after his or her death.

Copyright infringement is the use of a body of work that is protected by the copyright law without the exclusive, documented permission of the copyright holder. This includes reproduction, distribution, display or performance and includes all mediums. (Print, internet, audio files, etc).
