On the front of your BarbieInstant Camera there is a buttothat slides to the left and right.This button controls which lensthe camera will use when youtake a photo.

If you want to take a close-upphoto of a subject that is 2 to4 feet away from you, slide the button to the right.

The picture counter is a little window on the back of the camera. The number inside thewindow tells you how many photos are left in your film pack.Each new film pack contains 10photos.

Close the film door shut. Thecamera will eject the cardboardfilm cover. Throw this piece away.

Insert the film pack into the cam-era just like in the picture. Besure to hold the film pack only bythe edges. Push the film pack allthe way in until you hear a “clicking” noise.

When you are done using yourBarbie Instant camera, be sure tosnap the flash unit closed. Thishelps save the camera’s batterypower.

Look through the viewfinder tomake sure your subject is in theright position to take a photo.

When you are ready to take aphoto, press the green shutterbutton.

The photo automatically comesout of the camera. Don’t shakeyour developing photo or put it indirect sunlight.

Sometimes, when you take aphoto it can turn out looking toodark or too light. This is becausethere was either too much or toolittle light in the scene when youphotographed it.

You can fix this by using thelighten/darken control on yourcamera.

On the front of your camerathere is a blue button that slidesback and forth. When the bluebutton is pushed to the left itdarkens a photo. When the bluebutton is pushed to the right itlightens a photo.

To lighten a photo that is too dark,slide the blue button all the way tothe right.

Be sure to slide the blue button back to the center beforeyou take another photo.

How to Take Great Photos

To take a photo of a subject that isshiny or metallic, or to take aphoto through a window, you needto do something special so thatyour photo turns out right.

Right next to the green shutterbutton that you use to take aphoto is a small pink button.Pressing this button lets youtake a photo without the flash.

So, whenever you take aphoto of something very brightor metallic, or take a photothrough a window, press thispink button.

Taking Care of Your Barbie Instant Camera

It’s easy to take good care of your Barbie Instant Camera. Follow these simple steps below, and your Barbie Instant Camera will always be ready to give you great photos.

Make sure you never touch the camera’s lens. Fingerprints left on thelens will make your photos look bad.

If the lens gets dirty, gently wipe itwith a soft tissue cloth. Remember tobe very gentle with the camera lens.

To darken a photo that is toolight, slide the blue button all theway to the left.

Be sure to slide the blue buttonback to the center before youtake another photo.

And always be sure to keep thesun behind you or at your sidewhen you take a photo.

Rollers

Look at the photo to the right. Howdoes this happen?

Spots can show up on photos if thedeveloper rollers inside the filmdoor of your camera get dirty.

To fix this problem, open the filmdoor of your camera. Inside the filmdoor are the developer rollers.

To clean the rollers, take a lint-freecloth and sprinkle some waterdroplets on it. Gently rub the devel-oper rollers with the cloth until theyare clean.

If there is film is in your camera,clean the rollers in a place withvery dim light.

One Year Limited Warranty

Polaroid will, at our option, repair or replace any camera founddefective in manufacture within the warranty period. The warrantyperiod is determined by the date of camera purchase. Keep thereceipt as proof of purchase. Otherwise, the warranty period isdetermined by the date of manufacture. This warranty does notapply to damage caused by accident, misuse or tampering,and excludes all consequential damages except in jurisdic-tions not allowing such exclusions or limitations.
