How did you attract/ address the audience for your music publication?

To attract/ address the audience of my magazine I first looked at what other similar magazine’s like Rap-Up magazine were doing to attract their audience since both are target audiences are similar, this is were I noticed to address my target audience I would have to use certain urban elements like slang in my magazine so my audience see something that they feel familiar with. Also from Rap-Ups front cover I noticed that they used the names of popular artists on there front cover in order to attract their target audience with popular and well known artists, because of this in my magazine I made sure on my front cover, contents page and in my promotional article that I made references to already well known and popular artists in the Hip-Hop world which would attract my audience to my magazine. Also the fact I used young models to act as my artists addresses the fact that the audience of my magazine is a primarily young one so it makes more sense than using someone much older because they cannot really relate to that artist.
