The 3rd annual celebration of the Houston Spanish and Flamenco Festival,May 22 - 25, 2013, will culminate in stellar performances featuring renowned artists.

Performances are housed in the state of the art Proscenium Theater located in the Marie

Spence Flickinger Fine Arts Center, San Jacinto College South.

2012 HSFF PERFORMANCE HIGHLIGHTS

The 2012 festival featured the Omayra Amaya Flamenco Dance Company on the evening of May 26, 2012. Omayra, great niece to Spain's iconic Carmen Amaya,honored her gypsy lineage in an unforgettable performance with the artistry of

Curro Cueto in Cante, Roberto Castelln's Guitar and Jos Moreno on Cajn.

Also featured in the 2012 HSFF was Master Dancer, Choreographer and

Instructor Maestro Teo Morca. Morca's professional career ofover 50 yearsin the world stages is revealed in his technique and elegant style

in flamenco and Spanish classical dance.

On May 25, 2012, the festival presented Solero Flamenco's "Festival."

Irma La Paloma, Cante, Jeremas Garca, Guitar and Chris Howard, Cajn

On the evening of May 24, 2012, the Houston Spanish and Flamenco Festival

presented "The Enchanting Song and Guitar of Spain's Salvadora Galn."

Salvadora took audiences to the roots of flamenco with her traditional
