The beautiful Traube Tonbach hotel is surrounded by the

stunning natural landscape of Black Forest National Park.

In the 18th century, baker Tobias Finkbeiner opened a

traditional tavern for the charcoal makers and lumbermen

working in Tonbach Valley. The original “Traube” has

become a modern luxury resort known for fulfilling its

guests’ every wish.

Finkbeiner and his wife Renate put their personal and

support from their children Matthias, Sebastian and

Antonia.

Haus Kohlwald, located across the street, offers very

spacious accommodations for families with children in

particular. Its timeless silhouette is characteristic of the

Black Forest, with a streamlined architecture that

perfectly complements the surrounding landscape. The

building is very bright, open and inviting. The impressive

interior features a welcoming colour scheme, exclusive

materials, warm woods and many modern Black Forest

accents.

apartments and a luxurious suite. It is the perfect place to

The small, elegant SPA Lounge at Haus Kohlwald is an

homage to peace and beauty. It has a family sauna

(clothing required) with a stunning panoramic view of the

surrounding nature, steam room, heated stone benches

and a bubbling warm water pool. Guests will also enjoy a

buffet with refreshing beverages and fresh fruit.

TRAUBE‘S RESTAURANTSAn homage to diversity.

The elegant and rustic Köhlerstube was awarded 16 points

by Gault&Millau. Head chef Florian Stolte serves classic

international dishes with a sophisticated, light touch.

The authentic Bauernstube is the historic birthplace of

Traube Tonbach. Today, the restaurant serves delicacies

from Swabia and Baden which meet the highest levels of

culinary excellence.

Silberberg restaurant, managed by kitchen director Jürgen

Reidt and hosts Ansgar Fischer and Michael Kröller, pampers

our guests with different daily menus as well as themed

buffets to those who book half-board accommodations.

Guests will also enjoy our “delicious afternoon” buffet of

light snacks at Silberberg every day from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

Our hearty breakfast buffet is also served here every

morning until 12:00 p.m.

Head Bartender Bernhard Stöhr was President of the

German Barkeeper Union (DBU) for 16 years. He serves

Traube cookery school gives small groups of up to 12 people

the chance to experience cooking together. Under the

guidance of our head chef, Henry Oskar Fried, they will

prepare an exclusive meal to enjoy afterwards. We will

NEUES SCHLOSS MEERSBURGAn outing on the lake.

Even the Prince Bishops of Constance appreciated this

location. From here, you can revel in the most beautiful

view of Lake Constance all the way to the Säntis. In the

18th century, they expanded Neues Schloss Meersburg to

make it the residence, hiring famous artists like Balthasar

Neumann and Giuseppe Appiani to assist in the process.

You can discover the Baroque castle and its grounds, join a

tour or simply enjoy the beauty of its history, architecture

and natural surroundings.

Traube Tonbach has operated the café at Neues Schloss

Meersburg since 2012. In the summer, the spacious sunny

terrace offers a spectacular view of the lake. The friendly

team, led by Matthias Finkbeiner, serves fresh cakes,

tortes and pastries, as well as a selection of fine dishes for

you to enjoy every day.

TRAUBE KIDSA picture-perfect holiday.

At Traube Tonbach, children and young people have great

opportunities to share experiences with each other every

day. We offer a holiday programme full of fun – with

excursions, sports, action-packed activities, games and

entertainment. Our caregiver Marion Müller is a qualified

educator responsible for our young guests. She ensures

that everyone has a great time at Tonbach.

Holidays at Traube Tonbach traditionally belong to families.

During school holidays, children ages 16 and under can

stay in their parents’ room free of charge.

For our new playground, the designers brought the old

disciplines of Tonbach Valley to life – transforming wood‘s

journey into an exciting experience for children of all ages.

Kids can tumble and play to their heart‘s delight with

installations inspired by rafting and glass-blowing. History

is told in a playful way across water slides, tree trunks

for climbing and rope swings. The playground challenges

kids to use their motor skills, agility and endurance while

enjoying the spectacle – in a world made of organic

structures and natural materials, which harmoniously

blends into the Black Forest landscape.

The playground was developed by Stuttgart-based

company KuKuk, known for its projects across Europe.

TRAUBE KIDS’ COURTEndless space to play.

Traube kids meet at our large Kids’ Court. This spacious

area is dedicated to everything that kids find fun. We have

1,001 playful ideas – including a large football and

basketball cage for exciting competitions, a separate

restaurant with a kids’ cookery school, and a “play street”

for running around. There are also books, bobby cars,

table tennis, a trampoline, badminton and billiards. We

organise a wide variety of activities every day, including

Olympic sports, crossboccia, giant Mikado and parties.

In the end, the great outdoors are the biggest and best

playground all year round. Geo-caching takes kids on an

exciting adventure of discovery in the forest. We also

organise excursion to raft on the Murg, drive go-karts,

climb or cycle. We have fun summer cookouts and exciting

winter activities as well, such as torchlight walks and

toboggan parties.

Our Catering & Events Team will open the splendid rooms

of Neues Schloss Meersburg to you for unforgettable

private and business-related events. Traube Tonbach also

manages the beautiful Café at Neues Schloss Meersburg

– an exclusive location for celebrations.

Schlosshotel Monrepos was leased by Traube in early 2014.

The property includes a modern four-star hotel with 77

rooms and suites, the Baroque lake palace with space for

conferences, meetings and events. It is also home to

Gutsschenke, an à la carte restaurant run by Head Chef

Ben Benasr and Restaurant Manager Marc Schnierer. The

restaurant received its first Michelin star in 2016.
