Reverse ShotsThis shot is mainly used to show a part of the action or reveal

something hidden within the scene.Also like the pan shot is helps to build suspense within the scene and also likes to be used within

flashback scene.

Close up ShotThese shots are mainly used to shows the reaction of the victim and is

most commonly used in horror films.This may also be to hint as something else quite vital within the scene.

Tracking-pan ShotsUsually used in horror to shows the killer/monster chasing the victim.Or in more recent films it’s because used to show someone being followed or stalked like in ‘The boy next door’.This can also help the film to build suspense as you have to wait for the camera to reach the limit

of it’s pan before something is revealed.

Zoom ShotsAs this is quite a quick shot it create a lot of tension and suspense as the audience don’t

know what’s about to happen as it’s going quite fast.It’s most commonly used in the supernatural horror movies as it’s usually used to spot unique objects within a scene that

something scary to keep the audiences attention.

This shot is normally used to show how intimidating the evil/villain is within the horror.This could change the way the audience are viewing the film as they can start to have the same feeling as the victim like feeling weak and powerless.

build tension and suspense especially when by a reflective surface.It’s one of the best shots used to show an object or the to reveal the villain

within the movie.
