2. Close up This is when there is very little background within the shot it zoom in on a specific detail of the mise-en-sence this symbolises importance, that that object as so form of significance within the movie. Horror movie often use this type of shot as it causes the audience feel emotion towards the thing thats being zoomed in on. For instance if was a character the audience would either feel extremely comfortable and grow fond of the character or theyll feel a level of discomfort which would cause them remain on the edges of their seats. This shot allows the audience to feel like theyre a part of the movie, it allow the to feel the character emotions and to get involved with in the movie, allowing it to me even more frightening as is causes to become a bystander within the movie. 3. Hand held camera shot A hand held camera shot is when the camera is taken of the tripod and is shot using the camera mans hand. This often used within horror especially, through out the theme fake documentary. As it gives of sense of reality which makes it all the more frightening. It also creates a shaking trembling affect which is perfect for horror. 4. Establishing shot An establishing shot captures everything within the scene this is often used to introduce the setting. This is extremely popular amongst horror movies and I will be using it in my trailer. Not only to introduce my setting at the moment the opening scene would either be an establishing shot of a house or an empty street but to also help me successfully, present the theme the unfolding form of terror. Which uses this shot to express deception. 5. Point of view shot The point of view shot is when the shot is taken for the point of view of the character, the audience is able to see through the characters eyes what they are seeing this allows us to understand the characters and their emotions. This shot is popular amongst horror movies as it allow the audience to become emotionally invested within the movie. 6. Zoom This is the most common camera movement used within horror the ability to zoom in to objects has a dramatic affect on the genre as it creates a element of suspense and fear amongst the audience. 7.
