•Moodle was originally an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, but now it's just a name.
•It is a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that was introduced to Hopwood Hall College in 2006 with students groups using it from September 2006

Student Access to MoodleStudent Access to Moodle•Student can access course areas by
•Login in to Moodle (usernames and passwords are the same as the computer network)
•Click on the 'All Courses' link under ‘Course categories’ on the left
•Find the course in the list that then comes up and click on the course name
•This will give access to the course, on the left click on the ‘Enrol me in this course’ link under the ‘Administration’ menu
•A page then comes up ‘You are about to enrol yourself as a member of this course. Are you sure you wish to do this?’ click yes and the Moodle student set up is complete

Guest Access to MoodleGuest Access to Moodle•All courses on Moodle have full guest access
•By using guest access you can access other courses on Moodle and also your own
•As a guest others can access your resources but they can not edit them
•As a guest your students can access their even if they forget there username or password
•As a guest you can not take part in any online activates

Moodle TrainingMoodle Training•E-Learning is seen as a college priority and any meeting that you have with the Moodle team will be recorded and placed on your staff development record if it results in use of Moodle in the topic covered by the briefing or training event.
•Briefing or training can be done to one or more members of staff, at a time and place best for you.
•This can be booked by email or phone ex 3342.
