Do you ever think of that first Easter? Of the women making their way to the tomb, bent by the weight of grief, consumed with a sense of total loss and hopelessness....yet drawn forward by love to be where they needed to be. Of the shock....horror of seeing the tomb open and empty....of the confusion and despair as new waves of pain washed over already broken hearts....and finally slowly, trembling and afraid, trying to come to terms with the amazing fact that this was not the end but a new beginning. A beginning born of God’s love. A new hope – salvation!

Many of the women and children, who come to Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission in India, share that journey, from despair, grief and hopelessness to a new life full of joy, hope and promise for the future. A safe shelter, food, health care and the love of a new family bring comfort to tired bodies and healing to wounded souls. Children who have experienced abuse and neglect now find loving care, education and acceptance and grow strong in the knowledge that they matter! Women who have been abandoned through no fault of their own, journey to Mukti and find security and a peace that the world cannot take away.

In Sri Lanka the children in Wings of Hope live in desperate situations. Families torn apart by the exhausting struggle of making ends meet, day after day, in tiny shacks tied together with plastic and wire, wet when the rains come and stifling in the heat. The educational support Wings offers is a key to breaking the cycle of entrenched poverty and imparting the self-confidence and skills that will help each child find meaningful work in the future. Most importantly, the children have fun and form friendships that inspire them to reach for more, lifted on Wings of Hope!

Women and children come to Pandita Ramabai Mukti Mission from backgrounds of extreme poverty, exploitation, abuse and abandonment to find safe shelter including food, clean water, clothing, medical care, education, skills and training. Sponsorship provides this and so much more. At PRMM, they find a loving and supporting community/family where they can rebuild their lives, and have opportunities to realise their God-given potential. Sponsorship is a privilege that enables you to join the Mukti family and connect with a girl, boy or woman who need a helping hand.

FULL SPONSORSHIP SRI LANKA: $40 PER MONTH

In two locations, Wings of Hope in Sri Lanka seeks to empower vulnerable women and children to develop an understanding of their own personal worth and realise the potential within themselves to live a purpose-filled life. The project supports these communities through: after school education/homework clubs to help vulnerable children from low income families keep up in school; medical check-ups; medicine and vaccinations; meals and nutritional supplements; vocational, business, life skills training and support; rights awareness training, women’s support groups and family life skills.

LEARNING TOGETHER PROGRAM INDIA: $20 PER MONTH

Your support will help provide educational essentials, school uniforms, bags, books, school fees, activities and excursions for 100 local village students learning in PRMM schools. What a difference this will make giving each child the chance to thrive at school and bring knowledge and skills into the life of their communities.

LEARNING TOGETHER PROGRAM SRI LANKA: $20 PER MONTH

Donations to this new program will support the Wings of Hope After- School Education program, enabling the purchase of teacher resources, educational materials, textbooks and stationery and inclusion of educational activities and excursions for the children.

WELLNESS PROGRAMS IN INDIA AND SRI LANKA: $20 PER MONTH OR ONE OFF DONATION

A new program, which addresses holistic wellness, including more frequent health checks, subsequent treatments and living aids. A component of this program will focus on mental health, general health promotion and prevention.
