Re: Homecoming Registration Packet
Homecoming is just around the corner and the 2014 Homecoming committee is very excited about the activities offered this year. The highly anticipated homecoming theme is “Marco’s Favorite Heroes and Toughest Villains”. The committee is working diligently to organize a full week of fun events for the campus, community and alumni.
The 2014 Homecoming theme, “Marco’s Favorite Heroes and Toughest Villains” was chosen with the expectation of creative interpretation. Please keep in mind, the use of the logos, words or images bearing a trademark or copyright, such as by Disney, CD Comics or Marvel is strictly prohibited. Be aware, trademark and copyright laws apply if it is the name or image of, or is likely to cause confusion with, a character of the title or logo of a movie, book, song, and/or television program.
A trademark is a word, name, symbol or device (or a combination thereof) that identifies the goods or services of a person or company and distinguishes them from the goods and services of others. A trademark assures consumers of consistent quality with respect to those goods or services and aids in their promotion.
Informational meetings for the organization competition and Mr. and Miss Marshall will be held September 3, 8 and 11. Times and locations are listed in the calendar within the packet. Guidelines will be reviewed and one Homecoming Activities Registration Packet will be available to each student organization or homecoming court candidate. You will only need to attend one of the three interest meetings. An online version of the packet is available at www.marshall.edu/homecoming/packet.
The following packet contains the homecoming activities schedule, event rules and registration forms for participating organizations, faculty, staff and community members. This information and registration is also available online at www.marshall.edu/homecoming. The “Thunder Cup” trophy, along with half of the prize money collected during Penny Wars, will be awarded to the winners of the student organization competition in both small and large group categories. The other half will be donated to the philanthropy of the organization’s choosing.
Please review carefully all forms and rules, taking special note of deadlines, and if you have any questions, please contact the Homecoming Committee within the Office of Student Activities at [email protected] or stop by Memorial Student Center 2W31.
Thank you for your participation, and we look forward to seeing you at the festivities!
