MEDVPN2 Installation Procedures for Windows 7
Create a MEDVPN2 icon for connection (to be done once only)
1 Click Windows Start button and then Control Panel
2 Click Network and Internet
3 Click Network and Sharing Center
4 Click Set up a new connection or network
5 Select Connect to a workplace and then click Next
6 Optional Step If you have connections setup already ignore them and click No
create a new connection Then Click Next
7 Click Use my Internet connection (VPN)
8 In the next window enter the following
Enter medvpn2hkuhk in Internet address box
Enter MEDVPN2 in Destination name box
Check Donrsquot connect now just set up so I can connect later
Click Next
9 In the next window enter the following
Enter your HKU Portal UID in User name box
Enter your HKU Portal PIN in Password box
Check Remember this password if you want to store the password
Click Create

10 Click Close
11 Click Connect to a network in Network and Sharing Center Windows
12 Right click MEDVPN2 and then click Properties
13 Select Security Tab
14 Choose Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol with IPsec (L2TPIPSec) under Type of
VPN Then click Advanced settings button
15 In the next window enter the following
Select Use preshared key for authentication
Enter hkuvpn in Key box
Click OK
16 Click OK to complete the setup
