Department of History was established in 1982.

Combinations Offered:History, Economics, Political Science

Bangalore University has introducedchoice based credit system from 2014-15.

economically weaker students.

To create interest to opt for History as a major subject in higher education.

To make the students creative and research oriented.

To raise the standard of our students to global levels and make them employable.

Students ProgressionOne of our students has cleared main KAS

competitive examination, got appointed from KPSC, worked as Assistant commissioner of BBMP, Bangalore.

More than 10 students cleared the KPSC competitive examination of KES and got appointment as Head Masters.

O5 Students have cleared NET/SLET Exam and working as Guest Faculty.

Poor communication skill in both verbal and non-verbal.

Limited job-opportunities.Deteriorating students strength.Limited scope to introduce various combinations.The majority of the students come from Poor-Socio-

Economic background and they may not have good academic background.

There is no competing degree college in Gowribidanur Taluk, hence it may be easy to attract more students by offering need based course.

More scope to use modern technology aids in teaching learning programs.
