About me

Kris is a bold director-designer who’s not afraid to return to the roots of any issue to forge a creative, paradigm-shifting solution including the latest trends in tech. Prepare for the unexpected.

I was born in Hungary during the winter of 1981. Started to get familiar with computers during the Commo-dore 64 era, and fell in love with the web, and design, as soon as the inter-net became available in my home country. Designed and developed my first website at the age 16 and couldn’t stop it ever since.

I created my first flash based games while I continued my high school and college studies in multimedia and coding, finishing in 2003, right after my daughter, Dominika was born.

In the years that followed, I worked in various agency jobs as designer and project manager on many websites and other digital and creative print campaigns. In this capacity, I had the chance to work remotely from Hungary for mostly US- and Europe-based high profile clients.

I moved to the UK in 2012, where I found my call at a music-based start-up, Fametune, co-founded by me and another colleague. During this project I had the chance to take the podium at London Business School and Mozilla London to name a few of the startup events of many we had the honorto attend.

After this project I worked for over a year as a designer/developer at an award-winning London design studio. These experiences led me to become Director of Design at a $2MM French-owned agency, where I man-aged tens of projects over the course of my 18 months successful contract.

In November 2015, I came back to London and teamed up with some of the brightest minds to form Line Above, a creative & collaborative digital agency.

The following year was quite eventful. We have worked for a wide range of clients, from interesting start-ups as BritChic or sezamee to well established brands such as Bombardier, Keybank or the legendary distillery Sipsmith.

I’m extremely passionate about draw-ing and design, and finding solutions to challenging, complex problems. I tend to believe that I’m a creative person with a flair for marketing and user experience.

I like to spend my free time with read-ing (a lot), doing some creative writing or even producing music, as I’m also an acclaimed DJ and music producer with over a hundred tunes and remixes released on iTunes and Beatport under different aliases.

I’m a fun person, my colleagues usually like me a lot. I’m always helpful to the people I work with, as I know that we are always stronger and bring better results as a team.

Promotion office chief, webdesigner at AIX Fotóstúdió Ltd 04/2007 - 10/2008Started up as a webdesigner, then led a team of developers building sites and marketing tools.Shortly I worked my way up to the role of promotion office chief for the corporate website network.

Freelance Web and UX designer / developer 10/2008 - 10/2012Ran my own company creating quick turnaround branding and webdesign solutions, deliveredto various CMS system templates, including Joomla, Wordpress and Drupal.

CEO, CTO, Lead designer at Fametune Ltd 11/2012 - 09/2013I had the chance to lead my vision from idea to it's public beta phase. Designed every aspect,recruited and led a team of 7 developers to finish up our product. Held big audience presentationsat various places and looked for investors the same time, working about 70 hours a week.

Frontend Developer at Moot Design 09/2013 - 06/2014I was single-handedly developing B2C and B2B websites, mobile applications and interactivepresentations for the company's clientele.

Director of Graphic Design and UX at Tom Internet Ltd 07/2014 - 11/2015I was responsible for redesigning and giving a new life to the fleet of consumer websites for thisFrench company. Creating new experiences, A/B testing on the main consumer sites or creating newminisites for marketing campaigns, communicating and helping the dev team on demand, meetingpossible partners at international fairs were all within the scope of my job.

Creative Director / Digital Designer at Line Above 11/2015 - PresentComing back to the UK after my contract, I teamed up with some great guys and started up a creativeand collaborative agency / workshop. Based on my previous experience, I was assigned to creative-and art direction as well as frontend development tasks.
