Fulbright College Wri ng Requirement: Prior to gradua on, each history major must submit a substan al

research or analy cal paper with a grade of “A” or “B” from a 3000‐level or higher HIST course to a

departmental advisor. The required senior capstone seminar, HIST 4893, is designed to give history majors

the opportunity and guidance to produce a paper to meet this requirement, but students may also submit

a paper from another HIST course or from sa sfactory comple on of an honors thesis.

1College Honors students must take HIST 1113H, HIST 1123H, HIST 3973H and at least 3 credit hours of

HIST 399VH. College Honors students may not apply more than 6 credit hours of HIST 399VH to the history

major.
