John’s professional background is comprised of a formidable cross section of brand strategy, marketing, digital, technology, advertising and management spanning 26 years. His track record of creating and managing global and domestic brand development and integrated campaigns includes his tenure at GlobalWorks Group LLC, MMB NY, Harte-Hanks and Lotus Interworks - and spans multiple sectors including social media, technology, financial services, insurance, retail, automotive, healthcare, telecommunications and veteran causes. Prior to founding Wasabi Rabbit, John was an equity Partner and the Chief Marketing Officer at GlobalWorks, where he delivered consistent year-over-year revenue and profitability growth while managing the Brand Planning, Account Services, Consumer Research and Media Services practices. A frequent industry speaker and start-up advisory board member, he has held significant leadership positions in enterprises ranging from large, publicly traded companies to start-ups in the tech and digital space.
A Captain in the US Navy reserve and a veteran of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM, John recently was awarded the Legion of Merit for his service. A United States Naval Academy graduate, John also holds an MBA (cum laude) in Finance & Management from the F. W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, and an MS in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School. He lives in Manhattan and is the proud father of ‘three under six,” including three-year old twins.
