Ionizing radiation.

Radiation may react with the skin and can cause cancer, skin irritation, dermatitis, etc.

High Ensure safety regulations as per BARC before commencement of job.

Affected area to be cordoned off, radiation warning symbols/ signboards to be displayed.

Avoid radiography in daytime.Wear appropriate PPE’s and film badges issued by BARC.

Radiation effect to be measured with dosimeter before starting the radiography.

Working crew at site must be informed regarding such activity.

Stay away from radiation sources.

Use the exact source of radiation and avoid more powerful source.

Experienced and trained persons shall be deployed.

Sling / chain damage. Balancing may fall. Person may electrocute due to crane’s boom touching with high tension line. Due to lack of knowledge of load chart, man may lift things in wrong radius that may cause tilt.

High Check crane/sling/chain pulley certification for their SWL and testing date.

SWL must mention on each lifting devices.

Dual lifting shall be utilized whenever possible.

Better communication between crane operator and foreman.

Use only tested lifting tools & tackles.
