President’s Message

Dear Devotees,

Hari Om !!! “It’s my honor to be re-elected as the president. It’s a matter of great honor to serve the

Hindu Society of Metropolitan. I consider myself very fortunate and proud to be working with a talented

group of people who are very devoted and extremely capable. We all have one goal in mind and that is to

take this Mandir to new heights.

I take this opportunity to thank the BOT Chairman Mr. A. N. Salwan for his services in leading HOM. It was

our pleasure to honor him with an excellence award for his sincere and dedicated 20 years service for the

growth of the temple.

I sincerely appreciate the contributions and thank the outgoing members of the EB for their services to

HOM. I wish the outgoing members of the EB very best in all their endeavors. At the same time I

congratulate the newly elected EB members. I wish the new members every success in their services to

HOM.

It’s my privilege and pleasure to invite all people of the community to Hari Om Mandir on regular basis.

We have very highly educated and experienced priests for all of Puja and Karma Kand rituals. Last month

we celebrated the 24 hours Akhand Ramayan Path and New Year. On all these occasions we had a record

attendance and participation. Our sincere thanks to all devotees. Youth participation is always welcome,

please bring your children to the temple and let’s join hands to raise our children in a way that they learn

our culture and at the same time stay focused on day to day activities. We will introduce more Youth

programs to get their maximum participation in the Temple. Youth Volunteers are always welcome.

We need your help and support in every possible way. One way is to participate in committees the Mandir

sets up. Another is to volunteer your time and energy when we have special functions. This is your temple,

please help make it better.

On behalf of Hari Om parivar, I wish everyone a very happy and prosperous new year. Our Goal for 2015,

would be to keep Peace, Harmony and proceed with the projects. Looking forward to a great year ahead.

CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE

Respected Brothers and Sisters,

Jai Mata Ki! I would like to wish you all a very safe and Happy New Year. May this year bring more

prosperity into your lives and may your home be blessed with happiness. I continue to pray Vaishno Mata

Ji for all of you and your wellbeing. Let me begin by expressing my gratitude for the Board of Trustees who

has relentlessly worked hard and been by my side. With their support, all the events this past year were a

huge success towards Hari Om Mandir’s development. Moving on, I would like to thank Indrajit Sarkar for

his outstanding service as President. During his tenure, he is working with his team to achieve the Mandir’s

goals. He is a very devoted and hardworking individual. I encourage him to carry on the Hari Om Parivar’s

traditions and help create more programs involving our newer devotees and youth.

In 2015, let’s get together and continue making a change with the “Go Green” movement we have

started at the Mandir. This program was started by Upma Hardy, whom I cannot thank enough. She takes

her job very seriously to make sure Hari Om Mandir is contributing towards a clean and green

environment. It has been a success. Now we encourage this into your homes. We will sell products at very

reasonable prices, which will be posted on the bulletin board. Aarty Singla & Usha Verma will be in charge

so you may contact them. I request a different volunteer to come forward every week to watch and help

devotees dispose their plates and cups after finishing their Prasad. We need to continue making this a

habit.

I would like to thank the Devi Jagran Mandli, Amrit Vani Ram Bhagats, Bhajan & Sangeet Kaars, and

other volunteers who have dedicated their time to the Mandir this year. I request them to keep

continuing their services. And to all our devotees, please continue serving with ‘Tann, Mann, Aur Dhan’

meaning either physically, from your heart, or with your generous donations. Bring your talent or

suggestions to help your Mandir grow to newer heights. This ‘Seva’ will never go unnoticed. God bless you

all!
