NAMI Peer-to-Peer is a free11-week recovery-focused educational program

for adults who wish to establish and maintain wellness in response to mental

health challenges.

Great value is placed on the individual experiences of each person in the

class and participants are empowered and invited to share their own stories,

the coping tools that they have used and to comment on the information

provided.

Peer-to-Peer gives participants a varied selection of tools and strategies

designed to improve decision making skills, identify and overcome triggers

and recognize the impact of emotions on actions.

“This was the first time I

really looked at my

illness while I was

surrounded by those in

recovery. It was very

enlightening”.

“Enhancing this

experience is the

interweaving of

discussion and

learning with the

creation of images

that reflect the past,

present and future of

every person in the

class”.

“I gained

empowerment over

my illness. I’m

looking forward

instead of focusing

on the past”.

Enhancing this experience is the interweaving

of discussion and learning with the creation of

images that reflect the past, present and future

of every person in the class. Using a simple App,

class members can create imagery on mobile

devices* to reveal their thoughts and feelings.

Peer-to-Peer creates a solid foundation for the

recovery process and helps each person

create a memoir of their recovery progress and

a guide for staying well.

Peer-to-Peer provides a confidential place to
