Electronic vehicle identifi cation

As the number of vehicles on the roads increases, so do the requirements that have to be met by registration and identifi cation systems. After all, only secure and unique identifi cation of vehicles makes automated traffi c surveillance possible and prevents criminal offences such as theft and tax evasion.

An outstandingly convenient and reliable vehicle identifi cation solution is offered by IDePLATE, a forgery-proof and theft-resistant RFID vehicle license plate that has been developed by us. With IDePLATE, an RFID chip is already incorporated into the aluminium license plate during the production process. The data stored on the RFID tag can be accessed at any time with the aid of either mobile or stationary scanners – and in both standing and moving traffi c.

The RFID tag can also be additionally or alternatively implemented in the windscreen label (the so-called »3rd License Plate«). To prevent misuse, the label and RFID tag self-destruct upon removal. Use of the RFID tag as an electronic vehicle registration document is also possible. Combination of the RFID tag with our other security elements such as OVDs and laser coding allows an extremely high level of security to be achieved against forgery.

A reliable vehicle registration system reduces costs, simplifi es administration processes, prevents criminal offences and forms the basis for the collection of taxes and duties.

After carrying out a detailed situation and needs analysis, we are able to develop individually tailored registration systems that encompass all vehicle-related processes and documents on a nationwide basis. We design and produce our complete, turnkey solutions for direct connection to offi cial interfaces – and if desired, we can even undertake all production and administration tasks on the ground, including funding.

Our registration networks combine maximum effi ciency with surveillance and security against forgery and manipulation. All processes are subject to continuous monitoring: from order entry to the production of license plates and registration documents, as well as stock keeping and delivery.

Components for forgery-proof license plates

The combination of visible and invisible, holographic and electronic security elements on the license plate, in the vehicle registration documents and in the »3rd license plate« on the windscreen ensures optimum protection against forgery and theft.

An important role is played in this context by our certifi ed holographic components that originate from the banknote and document industry and meet highest international security standards. Holograms can be used in the shape of vignettes and stickers as well as laminate fi lm.

Additional security against license plate theft is provided by special license plate frames: Any tampering automatically results in destruction of the security features, rendering the license plate useless tor thieves.
