DPi’s TIJ-425/850 printers offer high-resolution printing with robust Hewlett-Packard thermal inkjet technology (TIJ). HP’s TIJ print cartridges and print heads produce crisp, clear barcodes, text, numbers and graphics at resolutions up to 600x600 dpi. Print heads can be physically and digitally stitched together for added flexibility—with 4.25, 8.5, 12.75 or even 17-inch print widths.

TIJ is a great way to get affordable, variable printing that keeps pace with your production line—at speeds of up to 600 feet per minute. Ink dries in seconds on most paper-based substrates, so you can print and stack without worries. A standard bulk-ink delivery system lets you keep printing without interruptions.

And although HP TIJ print heads and cartridges are made for rugged industrial use, they’re simple and easy to use with intuitive ink and print head installation. Simple operation, low maintenance and HP’s clean, water-based inks all add up to overall low operating costs.

IMAGING MODULEThe imaging module has two subsystems: the imaging head and the service station. The imaging head subassembly provides data and control for the five replaceable printheads. It includes the printheads, backplane printed circuit assembly (PCA)andcarriagePCA.Theservicestationsubassemblyusesthe printhead cleaners to automatically maintain the print heads in optimal printing condition.

INK DELIVERY SYSTEMThe Ink Delivery System (IDS), with 6-meter tubing, stores and controls two 775 ml bulk ink cartridges, which operate serially and can be hot-swapped. The bulk-ink cartridges are contained in a single enclosure. The IDS performs these functions:

PRINT HEAD CLEANERThis disposable print head cleaner caps the print head while the system is idle. During printing, the printhead cleaner automatically wipes the print head at regular intervals. The print head cleaner should be replaced at the same time as the print head.
