netPLC CODESYS combines both the PLC and network controller in any netX-Chip based design. This provides the
most economical solution for an embedded control system possible.
Whether in a Application-Ready product or in a customized adaption, PLC and controller merge to a one unit that can
be easily scaled to any platform at low cost creating your control solution for the field and control level.
CODESYS Control Win combined with PC cards of the family cifX are building a unique soft logic control system
based on standard PCs. With real-time performance and endless power, PCs together with the reliable soft PLC are
the cost effective and extremly fast alternative to hard PLCs. The PLC integration into subsystems such as Windows
CE based platforms are offered as service. Ready usable slide-in or plug-in modules with dual port RAM interface
are used as subordinated network connecting units. For netX-chip custom designs additional integration services
are offered.
The CODESYS development tool assures optimum ease of use for all target systems at any time. It can be used
equally for PLC programming, diagnostics and network configuration. With the help of description files, it can be
expanded for any customized device, thus offering a maximum level of flexibility for every tailored solution and
adjustment.

netX 100/500 are System-on-Chip controllers hosting both the CODESYS PLC and
a Master or Slave protocol stack in one processor. This combination is suitable for
many applications requiring small to mid size PLC performance such as mini sized
controllers, intelligent nodes, and even HMI terminals with the on-board netX 500
graphics unit.
The netPLC series of products works autonomously and independently. The already
integrated soft PLC runs in the netX controller and controls via Fieldbus or Real-
Time Ethernet as a slot PLC, as a slide-in/plug-in module or as a DIN rail mountable
device. NVRAM, Real-Time Clock, local I/Os, external voltage supply – depending on
the product – denote the series.
The cifX Fieldbus and Real-Time Ethernet cards form the basis for high-performance
PC-based controls. All common card formats are available from PCI to the Mini PCI
Express. In addition, there is also the version with NVRAM for remanent data storage
or for the expanded temperature range. By default, all cards are supported by the
CODESYS Control Win Windows based soft PLC.
The netDIMM and netJACK modules are available to add control capability to embe-
dded systems. Standard connectors make integration easy. The Soft PLC can either
run in the modules or on the target platform.
