Q; How did you get involvedin this business?
A; My father started the busi-ness in 1969 in Lakewood. Inhigh school I took draftingclasses to assist my dad dur-ing the summers. I studiedhousing design at ColoradoState University, includingkitchen and lighting design. After college, I became a de.signer for the company work-ing with contractors, design-ers and homeowners for re-modeling projects as well asnew construction. Wemoved the showroom fromLakewood to its present loca-tion in 2007.
Q; What distinguishes youfrom other businesses inyour categoryj'
A: Being family owned, wedon't have personnel turn-over. Our clients know theywill work with only one de-signer who has 40 years ofexperience and their undivid-ed attention. We aren't paidon commission and aren'tonly interested in making asale. Our attention to detailassures your. project is han-dled to perfection. We offerclients the most up-to-dateproducts - for example, ul-tra-low volatile organic com-pound finishes, no addedurea-formaldehyde and LEI!lighting. Unlike the big boxstores that require 100 per-cent payment at time of or-der, we offer a multipaymentpolicy.

inets, tile, appliances andlighting. I try to simplify theselection process. There'snothing better than to hearyour client say you've far ex-ceeded their expectationsand they couldn't be happier.
be surprised to learnabout you or your busi-ness:
A; We're proud that 90 percentof our business comes fromreferrals by customers andcontractors. It's not uncom-mon to have done three orfour kitchens for the same
client as they move fromhome to home. We not onlywork throughout the metroarea, but also statewide. Peo-ple are surprised to learnthat I live on a farm. My hus-band's family has milkedcows since 1949 and we have5,000 cows.Q; Something people might
