SIZE RANGE:
Chain and tire nets are designed to provide
a rugged exterior for the pneumatic fender
and increase protection against cutting or
puncturing.
Typically manufactured with used tires
these nets provide an ecologically friendly
use for this resource.
Chain nets provide long life against
corrosion.
Rubber sleeves are often fitted on the
chains between the tires for added
protection against scraping the ship’s hull.
The chains are attached to end rings to
connect the entire system.
Rubber moulded chain net tyre
harnessing provides extra advantage
when used under compression.
Rubber moulding provides extra
thickness of rubber sleeves to the chain
net tyre harnessing.
All these features render this to have
nearly zero maintenance.

SIZE RANGE:
HPF-GH fenders are specially developed to overcome
the problem of black marks left on the hulls of navy
ships and passenger cruise liners.
Hi-tech is the pioneer to develop no marking chain net
and have successfully installed many fenders for Indian
navy across India & also have exported too many naval
organizations across the globe.
Grey/white tires or sleeves are available for any type
and any size of chain net.

1.4 HI-TECH SLING PNEUMATIC FENDERS (HPF-SB/HPF-SG)
HSPF Fenders are designed to use without chain net for
special applications like where metal contact due to chain
is not permissible.
Advantage of HSPF is that they are light in weight and do
not require maintenance of chain nets.
HSPF fenders have a thicker skin than normal HPF
Fenders which are protected by a chain and tire net. This
reduces their susceptibility to puncture. Also provided
longer life against abrasion.
HSPF are most widely used for naval applications, passenger vessels and where abrasion due
to the harnessing is not acceptable. Available in black/grey body.
1.5 HI-TECH RIBBED PNEUMATIC FENDER (HPF-SR)
Ribbed body reduces weight over chain net fender
while still producing rugged protection.
Elimination of chain and tire net makes handling of
Ribbed fender easier.

1.7 HITECH FOAM FENDERS (HFF)
Foam filled fenders are preferred choice when
looking for a low maintenance and cost effective
fender system. These fenders provide high energy
absorption with relatively low reaction force.
Rope nets/Fibre nets and Rubber sleeve nets are
designed to provide a rugged exterior for the pneumatic
fender and increase protection against cutting or
puncturing.
The wire rope net is lighter than a chain net but is more
susceptible to corrosion.
The wire ropes are attached to end rings to connect the
entire system.
Rubber sleeves are normally fitted on the wire ropes between the tires for added protection
against scraping the ship’s hull and causing wear on the wire rope
Fiber net has a strong fiber bundle rather than a chain or wire rope to provide the strength
member.
Fiber net is recommended for applications where the risk of sparking (however minimal) must
be reduced such as for LNG terminals.
Fiber net is lighter than either chain or wire rope net is susceptible to cutting and abrasion.

3. HI-TECH NOVA CONE FENDERS (HNC)
The Hi-Tech Nova Cone fender was developed to meet the high energy absorption requirements of the
large cargo vessels which began appearing in the 1990s. Hi-Tech has been producing the HNC
element since 1994. In that time Hi-tech (Hi-Tech Elastomers Ltd.) has produced HNCs from very
small 300 mm high to very large 2000 mm high to meet the requirements of our customers.
The features of the HNC, dimensional stability which can perform in many situations, high deflection
capability which produces high energy absorption with low reaction and multiple rubber grades
allowing a wide range of performance characteristics, makes HNC an excellent fender element for a
wide variety of berthing situations.
HNC proved superiority in design against normal cone fender available in market because of having
larger hole on the top side and strip vent on the flange side which eliminates water/air catching within
the cone body under maximum deflection condition.
The HNC is normally mounted to a pier wall and commonly is connected to a steel panel fronted by
UHMW-PE pads which act as the contact area for the berthing vessel. The panel and pads provide a
surface with great wear resistance and strength providing long life for the fender system.
3.1 PARALLEL MOTION FENDERS The principle of the Parallel Motion Fender is to stabilize the fender
panel so that it remains vertical and deflects the energy absorbing
elements without the detrimental effects of angular compression.
This is accomplished by holding the fender panel by two torsion
arms with a hinge arrangement. Keeping the fender panel vertical
also prevents the panel from contacting a vessel’s super structure in
the case of a vessel contacting the panel below the center line of the
fender elements due to tidal conditions.

4 HI-TECH CELL FENDERS (HCF)
The Hi Tech Cell Fender (HCF) is a proven fender design. Originally developed over thirty years ago
the cell fender was engineered to the buckling of the rubber walls to absorb greater energy than could
be achieved with radial compression of cylindrical fenders. Hi-tech has produced the HCF line in
fenders ranging from 400 mm high weighing 75 kgs. to ones measuring 2250 mm high and weighing
7400 kgs.
The HCF is normally mounted to a pier wall and commonly is connected to a steel panel fronted by
UHMW-PE pads which act as the contact area for the berthing vessel. The panel and pads provide a
surface with great wear resistance and strength providing long life for the fender system.
5. HI-TECH “Z” TYPE FENDERS (HZF) The HZF LEG FENDER is a proven fender design. Originally developed over twenty five years ago the
leg fender was engineered to minimize the amount of rubber necessary for the absorption of a given
amount of a vessel’s berthing energy. Unlike fenders with circular designs a leg fender with a given
height can be shortened or lengthened to vary the amount of energy absorbed and reaction
produced. As with most buckling column fenders the HZF Leg Fender has fully encapsulated internal
flangs that allow fenders to mate with the berths and the steel frontal panels.

6. HI-TECH “AT” FENDERS (HAT) & “XAT” FENDERS (HXAT)
HAT FENDER
HXAT FENDER
HAT and HXAT arch fenders are based on a simple buckling column design that provides improved
energy and reaction characteristics over simple cylindrical fenders. The arch fenders are designed to
provide rugged and reliable service for berthing small to medium size vessels. Both the HAT and HXAT
fender have a rubber face with a corresponding high friction factor. This surface will tend to damp the
motion of small ships during swell or wave conditions. In conditions that require a fender face that
does not mark or requires a low friction surface the HXAT fender can be provided with a UHMW-PE
frontal pad or connections to attach to a steel panel.
7. HI-TECH “MT” FENDERS (HMT)
The HMT fender was developed to provide greater energy to reaction ratio than normal arch fenders to
accommodate the increasing size of berthing vessels. Modern cargo vessels are also more lightly
constructed than those of previous generations. This lighter construction means they can withstand
lower hull pressures and the increased width of the HMT fender provides significantly lower hull
pressure than a corresponding height of normal arch fender. HMT fenders are produced in sizes that
can accommodate moderately sized cargo vessels.

8. HI-TECH CYLINDRICAL FENDERS (HCT)
The HCT is the oldest form of rubber fender for berthing ships. Cylindrical fenders whether large or
small have been used in ports all over the world and are still used today. Being relatively easy to
install using simple chain attachments, they are adaptable for use on piers with poor quality concrete
that will not allow anchors for other fender.
9. TUG-BOAT FENDERS Tugboats, because of their working environment, are typically fendered to provide a cushion between
them and the vessels they are assisting. These fenders can either be intended as pushing surfaces on
the front of the tug or to protect the two vessels from accidental contact due to close working
conditions. Hi-tech provides several fenders that can be used in either or both of these scenarios.
These are listed as: “D” Type fender (HDF, Square Fender (HSF), Square +UHMWPE Fender (HSUF),
“W” Type Fender (HWF), Keyhole Fenders (HKF) & Tug Cylindrical Fenders (HTCT). We can provide any
size as per requirement.

11. ROLLER FENDERS Roller fenders are specialized fenders intended to guide vessels into tight spaces such as canals, lock
entrances or ship dry docks. They are also used to protect corners of piers where vessels are turning
close to the structure. The fenders are designed to give little resistance to rolling contact rather than
absorb the energy of berthing. Please feel free to contact Hi-tech representative for more details and
to help you select the right choice of the fender and size.

12. HI-TECH OIL BOOMS (HOB)
Oil Booms are barriers used to contain oil spills in the oceans. Floating property of oil on water helps
the boom round up and contain oil and keep it from expanding and contaminating beaches, islands,
and wetlands. The boom has a weight, the floating tube, and a tall wall-like structure to help keep the
oil contained. Oil Booms come in many shapes, sizes and are also made from different types of
materials as per their use. Selection and use of HOB depends on the function of boom, adequacy of its
usage, prevailing weather conditions, durability, storage and transportation.
Hi-tech offers different types of oil booms (HOB) which are actually solutions for oil spill response.
These oils booms are used for many oil spill response such as oil containment, oil diversion, oil
deflection or oil exclusion. Hi-tech offers three types of oil booms viz. External float type (HOB-EX),
Self Inflatable/ Pneumatic type (HOB-SIP) & Foam Type (HOB-FT).
13. HI-TECH MARINE PROTECTION BARRIERS (HMPB) Security of marine assets has become necessary in recent times and hence a marine protection barrier

platforms was developed as a safe efficient
boat landing system that can absorb energy in
both deflection and shear. The shock cells can
be manufactured with or without an eccentric
bumper ring. The basic principle of a shock
cell is the adhesion of rubber to two concentric
steel tubes.
14.3 DIAPHRAGM CLOSURE (HDC) The diaphragm is a dome of reinforced rubber
clamped into a ring which can be made a part of the
leg or skirt sleeve. Diaphragm closures seal the legs
and skirt sleeves of off shore platforms during
transportation and installation to provide buoyancy
and keep out foreign material.
They are designed and tested to withstand the
hydrostatic pressure exerted during jacket flooding
operations. As standard procedure Hi-tech tests all
diaphragms to 1.5 times the operating pressure but
we have to capability to meet tougher requirements.
14.4 ZIP-OUT CLOSURES (HZC)
14.2 GROUT SEAL (HGS) & GROUT PACKERS (HGP)

14.7 BUMPER RING (HBR)
Hi Tech Elastomers has developed a rubber ring (HBR) which can be used to encase a pile or cylindrical component in a barge bumper providing extra energy absorption capability and preserving the integrity of the steel cylinder. The rings will also rotate around the cylinder thus minimizing the shear forces imparted from a vessel with lateral movement during berthing operations.
14.5 SHEAR FENDERS (HSHF)
Hi Tech Elastomers Shear fenders (HSHF) are
designed to absorb energy through the
stretching of the elastomeric component in
the lateral direction while maintaining the
ability to support heavy loads perpendicular
to that movement. The shear fender also
maintains a linear load vs. deflection
characteristic throughout their usable range of
deflection.
14.6 PILE GRIPPER (HGP)
Hi Tech pile grippers are designed to provide a quick and secure means of securing a structure to piles during off-shore platform construction. A pile gripper is mounted to the top of a jacket skirt pile sleeve or other platform template during the sleeve construction.
The pile grippers provide a secure enough hold
on the piles to allow many ancillary functions to
be performed while permanent fixtures for the
jackets are installed.
14.8 SHOCK PADS (HSP)
Hi Tech Elastomers has developed shock pads for the off-shore industry based on the bridge bearing pads. These pads are a combination of steel plates with rubber vulcanized between them.
Used mainly in the lifting systems of self leveling platforms as shock absorbers and vibration dampers, shock pads may be used in other applications requiring support of heavy loads without a rigid structure.
