For our story today
Go back to sleep inside your house
And God Bless you we pray.
Go back to sleep Nick.
A long time ago there were a group of men being very cruel to God’s people. In fact, God’s people hid in caves to escape their mean ways.
One day a man named Gideon was making wheat when an angel told him that he was the one that would help God’s people.
Gideon wanted to know if God's power would really be with him. So he set out his fleece and prayed. If you are powerful, when I wake up in the morning you will have made my fleece wet but nothing else.
Gideon still wanted to know if God's power would really be with him. So again he set out his fleece and prayed. If you are powerful, when I wake you will have made everything wet but my fleece will be dry.
Gideon knew God was
powerful. He did as God said and gathered
together his men.
Gideon took very few men
but asked them to blow their
trumpets, wave their burning torches and
crack their pots and the men
who had been mean to them all ran away
scared.
Gideon was a superhero for
God.
You are Gideon's men. Go and find what you need in the church. You are looking for a pot
and a trumpet and when you return I will give you a flag.
Nick's friends want to sing a song with us
Does anyone know where that story comes from?
