Lady Royd House and gardens were designed by the renowned Bradford architects, milnes & Frances for the eminent textile magnate, Henry Williamson. grade II listed and built in 1865 the house is regarded as a very good example of a substantial mid-victorian detached house displaying high levels of craftsmanship including the main staircase, individual fireplaces and ceiling plasterwork. In 1929 the house and grounds were purchased by Bradford girls grammar school.
Up until recently Lady Royd has been the home of the preparatory school and enjoying sweeping views to the south over the school and the countryside beyond.
